Even if the meta doesn't change, mediums are still good, they just aren't death star good

Foolish foolish buff, they must be out of their mind or simply plain lazy to test the whole srm meta now.
Stupid newbies that think lrm is bad, ppc boat is bad, dual gauss, dual ac20 is bad. Lol wait till they eat the new srm brawl only meta.

^ LOLLLLL u know the first thing 99% of the ppl think about this patch is to revive their splatcat right? I mean pgi thinks 54 dmg alpha is too weak so they decided 72 dmg alpha is better.
Oh btw, dont worry about the heat scale, only noob pilots dont bring coolant. Dual alpha of 144 dmg total can pretty much core any mech without even overheating. Those non assault xl engineers can prolly be side cored in 1 hit.
I expect a minor tweak because Ive been using them so much, 33.3% dmg increase is just plain stupidity.
I played a lot of missile fast meds, trebs, cents, and even srm-backs. Gonna be a sad day seeing my cent doing over 1.2k dmg and seeing commandos circling srm strafing and killing atlases, one big step backwards, 33% buff come on lol. Essentially telling the current splatcat their 6 srm has now become 8 srm.
Much prefer a ppc death than this boring srm lights new meta.

keep them shelved and run the QD and the dragon. Those are how mediums should feel and play.
I still think that the srms are gonna be slightly underpowered still. When they were a threat it was because of 2.5 with splash. Now we got 2.0 no splash.
a weapon that has an extremely short range, and spreads the damage it deals, and has limited ammo, needs to excel at the 1 job it has. Mess anything up at short range.

They are however very light for the damage output.
3 tons for an SRM 6 2 criticals spreads 12 damage across a target at 270m range or less.
or
LB10X autocannon 6 tons 6 criticals spreads 10 damage across a target at and effective range of about 400m
I do however advocate an increase in ammo per ton as the SRMs are still opperating at their canon values of 100 missiles per ton and canon damage values of 2 per missile yet need to contend with doubled armor values.

your alpha doesnt mean anything if is isnt a pinpoint alpha.
Which SRM are not.
will SRM be dangerous now, yes, because they tickled prior to this, but they will still never be as scary as a single ac20 let alone 2, or multiple ppc/gauss combos.
Why?? Because those combos drop all that damage in a single location. SRM boating does not. It slaps it across 2 or 3 depending on angle.
