THIS confirms this formula

55.6 heat capacity = 30 + 10*2 (DHS Engine) + 4*1.4 (DHS Regular)

Every PPC over 2 gets an extra 7 heat.

TotalQty*Heat + (TotalQty-BoatQty)*Multiplier

1*8 for 1 PPC = 8 heat or 14% heat
2*8 for 2 PPC = 15 heat or 29% heat
3*8 + (3-2)*7 for 3 PPC = 31 heat or 56% heat
4*8 + (4-2)*7 for 4 PPC = 46 heat or 83% heat



Anyone else confirm?

Heat Generated = (Weapon Heat * Weapons Fired) + ((Weapons Fired - Max w/o Penalty) * Multiplier)

Example: 4 ERPPCs = (11*4)+((4-2)*4.5) = 53 heat generated

Same end result. Your math works, mine just shows the work differently.

Either way, math confirmed.

OK so you are seeing the same thing.

2 ERPPC = 22 heat.
3 ERPPC = 33 heat + 4.5 for penalty = 41.5 heat total
4 ERPPC = 44 heat + 9 for the penalty twice = 53 heat total.
5 ERPPC = 55 heat + 11.5 for the penalty three times = 66.5 heat total (your shut down for a very long time)
6 ERPPC = 66 heat + 15.5 for 4x the penalty = 81.5 heat total (generally...BOOM!)


Just simple match according to there own charts would show this.

2 PPC = 16 heat
3 PPC = 24 heat + 7 for penalty = 31 total
4 PPC = 32 heat + 14 for 2x penalty = 46 total
5 PPC = 40 heat + 21 for 3x penalty = 61 total
6 PPC = 48 heat + 28 for 4x penalty = 76 total

This is close but not quite the numbers I'm seeing:

Results On Forest Colony Testing Grounds (have yet to test in a live environ)

Jaeger 2AC20s
200SD = 30 + 8(2.0) + 4 (1.4) = 51.6 capacity (x1.1 for containment) = 56.76
-.2 x 8 + -.14 x 4 = -2.16hps

6h for AC20 6/56.76 = 10.6% (Confirmed)
12h(raw) for 2AC20 12/56.76 = 21.1%

Alpha 2AC20s = ~45% on Forest Colony

45% of 56.76 = 25.542 so about 25-26 heat

= 6 + 6 + (13~14) heat

Highlander
320XL = 30 + 10(2.0) + 3 (1.4) = 54.2 capacity (x1.1 for containment) = 59.62
-.2 x 10 + -.14 x 3 = -2.42hps

8h for PPC 8/59.62 = 13.4% (Confirmed)
16h for 2 PPCs 16/59.62 = 26.8%
24h(raw) for 3ppcs 24/59.62 = 40.2%

Alpha 3PPCs = ~61% on Forest Colony

61% of 59.62 = 36.368 heat so about 36-37 heat

= 8 + 8 + 8 + (12~13) heat

Best suggestion? Do more testing for results like these. The multiplier values are incorrect.

Test number 2 confirm that. Previously firing 4 PPC would cause the same heat as firing 3 PPCs now
