WoB... Well when the name of your faction is a cult name it tells everyone your standards- Stupid.

I believe you Wobbies will have my Clan against you. Along with the entire universe as a whole. You lose just by sheer overwhelming numbers.

Marack, you didn't have to tell us that.
During the Jihad Blakist never once took anyone from any caste of clan society prisoner.
They would simply torture you for their own amusement and slice your throat.

It doesn't matter if we lose,as long as we fullfil Jerome Blakes prophercy of the Third Transfer.
No desserter of a clan, corrupt house,or greedy mercenary will stop us from our goal of bringing The Light of Mankind to the universe.

The Word of Blake won.

After all, they managed to fool everyone into following the magically Mary Sue Stone, give him an entire Successor House's worth of planets (except Liao, who fought back and had to be pushed kicking and screaming from it's worlds), whereupon he secretly instigated the HPG blackout, sealed up the borders, and brewed up supertech while the Dark Ages ripped holes in the Inner Sphere. As folks note, they couldn't have managed that with military force alone, but tricking nearly every major faction into "defeating" them, then handing their secret tool an entire state to work with that loved him as a hero?

Did we mention the Blakists also happened to have plenty of worlds and even forces that simply vanished or never were found in the first place? Can't find what's likely hiding somewhere in the Republic, safe from the scouring eyes of everyone else...

...well, at least until the 33rd century. Which is where the BT timeline is now, an unfrozen Stone coming out to a Republic ready to do anything to be saved from the barbarity of the Inner Sphere...

... Clan Wolf still strong after all that though. Clans will live on, forever. If what you say is true, the Clans and WoB will eventually have a face off, the magnitude of which has never been seen. Oh you do forget that Rasalhague dominion didn't fall that trap either, their Ghost Bear side was very very anti Blakist and took all the measures.

Wow someone doesnt have a life. Small note that IGP has told us all some time ago. Your group can not use a name that is in the history. Only houses, or clans but you cannot be Grey Death Legion, Or Word of Blake, or any of the many mercenaries that are in the books. The same goes for your player char name. This probably wont be enforced until community warfare when you will have to register your groups name. For now you can call yourself anything you want but be ready to change it later. When you become word of steak or whatever.I've heard that PGI will be Comstar.

Read Jihad: Final Reckoning a short while back. The fluff at the beginning suggests that the Word of Blake did in fact achieve what they wanted, what they refer to as the third transfer. From the mouth of Thomas Marik:

Quote

“Only a unifying threat could bring the true cooperation of the Third Transfer—a danger so great, no sane man could stand idly by and allow it to exist in his universe. Terra herself united behind such a threat when the threat of overpopulation and governmental collapse hit its peak. The First Star League brought mankind together to end an age of endless, pointless war. The Clans brought us together again, but without a unifying leader…"

Vindication in the Ashes, Jihad: Final Reckoning

He goes on to explain that human history has shown that man will only ever unite in common interests when humanity as a whole is threatened. That the whole point of the Jihad was all about being so monstrously evil that no sane individual could tolerate it, basically to be so much of a threat to humanity, that the Inner Sphere would have no choice but unify under a common banner, and unlike the second Star League, this new banner would not be a figurehead with no real power to act. (much like the Zero Requiem in Code Geass, or the effect that the ISIS incursion in Iraq is having on U.S./Iran relations irl.)

Yes, the WoB lost the war, and are a footnote in the BT timeline, but their actions resulted in the founding of the Republic of the Sphere, and led to a period of relative peace until the Dark Age. In effect, they may be the only faction in the Inner Sphere that got what they wanted.

The only factions that are at peace in Dark Age are Jade Falcon and Wolf (although that may have changed).

There are no Jade Falcons in Dark Age - the last Jade Falcons died in the internal Civil War - there are only Genghis Khan madmen under the logo of what was once a proud clan.

Word Of Blake doesn't really happen till the 3060's, when they show up post ComStar schism.

Well they fought as "active" group in a "Civil" War vs Gibson Rebells supported by Regulan Troops in 3054.

And I can't help myself but the "hidden projects" of MD must have started much earlier....as 3060 - but i really have to read my sources again.
Because the question remains if - ComStar know about the hidden worlds how did they stay hidden after the schism.

Anyhow - i stood ready - to join rather the "White Banshees" or the "Pure Thoughts and Actions" especially the Blazing Hearts III kappa.

Yeah I know that the 388th is ComStar and stays ComStar - but they fight the Jadeparrots

Conrad Toyama pretty much created the very early structure of Word of Blake.

Those who started the Jihad were of the Toyama sect of the Word of Blake.

Toyama's are still around even after the Jihad....afterall,you cannot turn a true believer.

And there are 2 of "The Hidden Five" still left even after the Jihad.

While The Word of Blake maybe reduced to just a footnote.

They are still here....

May the Peace of Blake be with you all!

Murderers? Sure - it depends on the angle of view. But isn't a average Clan Wolf gen manipulated clown any different?
Clans shouldn't even be named "humans" because its obvious that they are not human.
And to beat monsters you need your own monsters - and only the rotten and Clan influenced House Lords - where unable to see the truth. So bloodshed because of misunderstanding was inevitable - the blood of millions of dead IS people is at the hands of the Successor Lords only
