Since they enabled HSR for ballistics I have huge problems hitting targets with them when they're not standing still, moving slowly or walk towards me.

It's perfectly fine with torso-mounted ballistics though. Hitting a Jenner with a torso-Gauss in close quarter? No problem. Hitting the same Jenner with the arm-ac20 of my YLW. Nope. It's especially bad when I aim upwards, at someone walking (away from me) over a ridge. I see that the projectile flies directly at him, but no hit is registered. :P

I'm pretty sure HSR is probably working as intented. But in effect it seperates what you see and what is calculated and that can't be good for aiming, can it?

Anyone else seeing this?

HSR makes what is calculated more closely resemble what you see.

Switching from a torso mounted gun to an arm mounted gun can be disorientating and can lead to some bad matches while you adjust.

YES! I have the same problem, I use 2 AC5 or UAC5 in my victors arm and i get no hit registration when they are moving horizontaly to me. I first noticed it when i should have been obliterating a slow hunchy but none of my atleast 10 UAC5 shots registerd from 150M or so. Then it happened again with a stalker at 100M. I dont know what it is but something is wrong. My ping is at 127 almost always so not super bad but not great.

Hit registration is borked in general right now. It's not just the ballistics. They are working on it.

I think there is some sort of packet loss issue, that effects players with higher pings.

ergo europeans are kinda boned at the moment.

I know a couple of our Euro snipers are saying something like 50% of their shots don't register anymore.

My ping is generally below 40. I've unloaded on mechs of all sizes and not gotten good hit registration. It is most noticeable with light mechs because you know good and well the damage you just put into them should have done something to ruin their day.

Adjusting...well maybe I just adjust my playstyle then. Usually I go through the list of my mechs and drop in one after the other. Yeah okay I can see how that can lead to problems, general prroblems that have to do with me rather than the game. ^^ It's like I drive 8 different cars in 8 different races. :)

I currently have not one best mech or one that I like the most. I also have none that I level up (not yet, but soon). That's the reason for this playstyle.

Anyway, thanks for the answers. It's good to know there is a potential problem...I mean it's good to know they know it and are working to fix it. ;)

That sounds about right. Though I'd say 50% of my shots miss...on moving targets. If they're coming towards me, or the angle is only small or they're standing still I can usually hit with 100% accuracy...that is if I don't screw it up myself.

oh man, people being annoyed at hit reg really have it easy atm. the GOOD OLD DAYS of having to literally shove your AC20 up an atlas' arse to get a registration.

that being said, HSR has got noticeably worse. JJ's seem to desync hitboxes somewhat, and with the spider having lots of thin, small hitboxes it's quite apparent.
