Ok guys, here we go, next round...

My design dates back to the Star League
I have more than one name
The first heralds to a hero of ancient myth
A man of great notoriety and accomplishment
The second was a name to distinguish me to my new owner
Originally was used to train future warriors
However my capabilities proved better than expected
I am a force to be reckoned with no matter my name
Though the former better than the latter
