The talon bundle IS worth the money. For +5$ compared to 30 days of premium you get:
- 30 days Premium account
- Phoenix Locust (+30% C-Bills, +10% faction rep, unique camo/design thingies)
- 2 other Locust variants (which can still be sold for C-Bills/component slaughtered after being mastered to get their mech bay)
- 3 Mech bays
- Forum/ingame profile badge and colored rank (like the founders got)
Now that's a steal considering how much MCs a regular Champion or Hero mech costs.

What are you going to do with that Premium time?
I dunno about you but in the almost years time that I have been playing this... I have all the mechs I could possibly want....
Its not worth it at all. Save your 80, buy Battlefield 4 when it comes out. That's a better use of your hard earned cash.... 80 bucks for 12 skins basically....

12 mechs (4 unique with unique camo patterns + 8 standard variants, 12 mech bays, +30% C-Bills and +10% Loyalty)
120 days of premium time
Unique forum and in-game badge and forum title
4 Faction Cockpit items (+2.5% Loyalty boost)
...all for $80.
Now, if you only like to play one mech all the time this probably isn't for you.
But I (and many others) like to play the game using a variety of different mechs, so this package is well worth the price for those players.

So don't spend the money...or buy both. $80 isn't that much for some people.

Not quite what I'm getting at. I value money more than you apparently, I equate this package as throwing the money at the window lol. What incentive is there to PGI to move this product along when everyone is just going to go crazy over a few mechs?
Loyalty boost... great, throw your money toward a mechanic that hasn't been set in stone yet. Anyone want to give a guess of when thats going to be released? Premium time - I've already argued that point. Mechs? yes I have 20 currently and I play them all

Like I said, this package isn't for everyone. Some people want a LOT of variety (apparently even more than you and your 20 mechs

It's a good deal for those people.
The camo patterns and c-bill and loyalty boosts are just icing on the cake.

They announced the Raven before ECM was in-game during closed beta, then Miracle of Miracles they put ECM in at the same time the Raven was released. This tells me that CW will be live before or on October 15th so Loyalty Points can be used.

Would you give someone money that you didn't deem trustworthy? That's my point here. It isnt about the variety you'll get that anyway... You'll be able to buy these mechs with c-bills... How can I possibly trust a company if they haven't shown me anything other than aesthetics...

I have been in-game since Closed Beta last July- I have seen the bad and good that PGI has done and the game has come so far since that time. I don't agree with all the moves made by PGI, but I will support this game because it is getting better all the time.

INCORRECT. They will fulfill the role of giving me the chance to finally play (since MW1) the 3025 TRO mechs I have loved for the last 25 years. And for that my friend...I would pay sooo much more than the pittance they ask.
Overlord is barely more than I make in a HOUR at work. An hour. Which I will most likely spend reading these forums. So, factor that into what it's "value" is.

How much you make per hour is irrelevant, I make quite a bit too lol.... here you have missed the argument point entirely. You should re-read my posts sir.
EDIT: This might help http://mwomercs.com/...roject-phoenix/

I see you point is to NOT give money to people deemed UNtrustworthy.
Sorry. Missed that. And NO, we would not give our money to such people or entities.
But, we DO trust PGI because they have given us EXTREME value for the money we have paid.
And reading your other statements....they DO have incentive...to keep us "whales" happy and paying. Which we are glad to do. Because we derive enjoyment from the game, from paying to help keep it going.
The +30% is huge. I play mostly my founders at the moment cause the money is too good. Again.. Value for us. For you ...well, guess not.
Besides, you said you'd rather spend money on Battlefield 4. Anyone who thinks yet ANOTHER bland cookie cutout of it's PREVIOUS bland predecessor is worth more money that this game, has just invalidated their arguments in these forums. Cause you are obviously crazy..stupid, or 10 years old.
Cheers!
Buy it or don't. Your arguments while seemingly valid in their attempt to question or sway...are nothing more than bitter opinions most don't share. If they did....they wouldn't be playing and paying MWO. They would be off playing...oh, I dont know...Battlefield 4?
In reality, most people who matter......are not you. Or me, either. Most people that support these games go on playing daily and paying regularly without EVER visiting the forums.
Enjoy. Im going back to drop in.

You make a persuasive argument... however it's probably effectively only 2 mech bays since I doubt you can sell your Phoenix mech (we can't sell original founder's mechs) - and the Phoenix Locust is so terrible it will be painful to grind. Also, I haven't even bother activating my founder's premium time so I really don't have much use for any more.
Honestly, the best thing about the $20 pack is the bird of prey claw icon - sure beats the communist star that the "overlords" get (snickers).

Why would I want to play something crap like Battlefield?
