In Pug-matches the situation is much better now, but this is mostly thanks to the SRM-buff, not the heat scale thing.

People keep saying that the Alpha Heat nerfing does nothing... I tend to disagree, it does slow down Alphas for its intended purpose. No longer can you smash people with 3-4 alpha strikes in a quad ppc stalker before you must overheat.
It more fun now to decide when to use your Alpha strike.... eg... Ohh I see a Spider standing still in my base ! Range is ok ! ALPHA STRIKE !! 70% HEAT... Spider dies... Pilot goes.. "WTF!!"
But I must say.. seeing how the killed refit/rearm for the noobs... I wonder if this made the learning curve too steep for them.
