As the MSI GE70 mentioned above is no longer available I decided to buy a MacBook Pro 15 Zoll with NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M / Intel HD Graphics 4000 - 1 GB GDDR5 :

Is using anyone this Notebook with MWO and what Performance do I have to expect ?

GT650M on 720p med settings will net you 30+ fps but iirc the i7 core in the macbook pro is only a dual core variant

If you are not getting a Sager, why bother with a laptop?

the issue with Sager laptops is the weight and some hate the boxy design of the sager laptops

how i wish i could afford one epic gaming laptop

but you have to agree that sometimes you wished you can shrink your laptop so can you can carry around in a packed train or bus

I have had good luck with Alienware. I play MWO with my M11x r1. I have to play with most settings on low and the laptops native resolution, but at least for me the game is playable. I get between 15-20 fps in battles. Not everyone would be happy with that, but I find it very playable. On average I do at least 300 damage with my Blackjacks and it's not just sniping, but brawling too. I also use Razer's game optimizer which makes a difference. The M11x runs cool though I think air temp in your room makes a big difference. Not only that I play with it linked by HDMI to my 46 inch plasma screen, my 5.1 surround sound system, with Bluetooth keyboard and Razer Orochi Bluetooth Mouse.

So if you ask me go with Alienware's current line of laptops.

Hold on a second, how the hell are getting yours to play the game. Mine's a freaking slide show and I've got the damn thing OC'd to 2GHz..

Thanks for telling me about the 2 physical cores with 2 logical cores each of the i7-3720QM :)

I asume the limited VRAM of only 1 GB GDDR5 with a max Resolution of 1440 x 900 wont make problems in MWO ?

Just FYI the processor "I7-3720QM" according to Intel ARK is a 4 core 8 thread processor, there are 2 core I7's but the one you stated is not one of them. As to the rest I can not add to the discussion in a first hand manner as I do not have a gaming laptop, however, I have played with one other whom used an old gaming Alienware laptop in closed beta (fps got worse as each new was implemented because nothing was optimized at that time).

After installing the preview of Windows 8.1 with bootcamp I am now able to play MWO at 1440x900 resolution with MEDIUM settings, except Anti-Aliasing which I turned off, with 30-40 FPS on my MacBookPro9,1 :(
