Urbie with an MRM-40. You'll only get a few shots, but at least the sheer amount of smoke will cover your retreat!

urbies definitely have to be in, even if its just for the nostalgia the mech brings. they should give you the ability to roll it down the street if it has no arms and it gets knocked on its side.

Has any one also looked very close at the urbies think of R2-D2. When battletech first started it was called battle droids. Then the star wars people got into it and they had to change the name

Fairly sure I signed this before but who cares.

URBANMECH!
I don’t know how they spelt Urbammech “A t l a s” all this time but I’d say the description fits:
The specifications were laid down by Aleksandr Kerensky himself; "a 'Mech as powerful as possible, as impenetrable as possible, and as ugly and foreboding as conceivable, so that fear itself will be our ally."

Well one out of three anyway…

This mech would be ideal as an AI defensive unit for worlds. Being one of the cheapest mechs in the BTU, and by how much they show up as well. It is no surprise that every book about the BTU at least has one Urbanmech in it. (at least the ones I have read that is)

In MW4:Mercs I used an Urbie to completely dominate the Solaris Light matches, and didn't have to pay squat to get it fixed afterwards. Made a believer out of me.

I think that's unbalanced by the fact that the Urbie in Mercs is FAST. WAY FAST.

If there will be heavy urban combat, like we saw in that teaser so long ago (No I am not saying that is in the game, just using it as an example) then Urban mechs would make sense.

When the clans invade and the IS finally bands together to face them, we should bring nothing but Urbanmechs to fight them.

All hail the Urbanmech.

That would be a beautiful, crushing defeat. Who wins would not matter. Urbanmechs performing DFAs from rooftops. Urbanmechs performing DFAs from the streets. Urbanmechs jumping behind their target and putting 10points of pain into the rear torso. Urbanmechs going out in a blaze of glory......

I just love the UM-R68 UrbanMech.
Pity that MRMs don't exist yet. <_<
