I'd like to see the Urbanmech as one of the 'Mechs in the game.

The UrbanMech is the smallest Assault Mech you can get; it's even lighter than the Jenner!

We got urban maps. We only get to play mechs on any given map. So... any mech on an urban map is an urban mech. I see no problem, play your mech in urban maps. Otherwise, why saddle your mechbay space with a limited map trash bin? That being said, yes, I want them in the game. I have no problem with my targets living in denial.

They should totally have a game mode dedicated to the Urbanmech, called Night of the Urbanmech. It could be almost like playing Horde in Gears of War 2 or Zombie Mode in Call of Duty.

Because if Battle Value or Tonnage is a factor in match restrictions, taking some of these deceptively effective 'mechs could be awesome.

A lot depends on how they balance the ACs, but this thing could be configured as a massive-punch light 'mech with jump capability. Plus since it sounds like equipment/engine upgrades are not restricted, you could amusingly turn an Urbanmech into a high speed scout, though honestly I think that'd ruin the character of it.

I remember one of the very last times I played MW4, I was playing deathmatches in an Urbanmech and got a MK2 pilot to start ranting to much laughter on public chat how the Urbie was horrendously overpowered after I killed him three times in one spawn by exploiting his poor armor and jumping around over his head.

Okay, first off, the Urban mech was a useless POS. You want to pilot one in game, I'll be more than happy to put you out of your misery. Second, why would you want to come off as the Battletech version of Oscar the Grouch? Really???

Your signature says "One shot, One kill" and the UrbanMech R60L has an AC/20 that will kill many scout mechs in one shot. In fact, I have personally gutted several Commandos in one shot playing Mechwarrior 4:Mercs piloting a TRO variant UrbanMech.

You, Sir, unknowingly support the UrbanMech.

Yeah, I know, I know. Someone out there is probably going to hate me for this. So, lets hear it: Who out there wants to see this thing in game!

You are still a sick man.

And I still admire that.

As a light mech pilot I loathe the urban mech. If I wanted to move at the speed of a heavy or assault mech I'd be in a heavy or assault mech. That said... I'd like to see PGI continue to add mechs on a regular basis for many years and I won't be completely satisfied until we have them all.

And I could one shot kill the UrbanMech in MW4 using an Alpha Strike of PPC's and ER LL's.

But when you Alpha Strike you're actually firing several weapons... so... multiple shots.

True, but the only thing you're gonna hear before you expire is "THUD!" :D

+1 to add the UrbanMech to MWO
+1 to have the UrbanMech as the default BattleMech

An Alpha strike of PPCs & ER Large Lasers will kill most light 'Mechs. The Urbie actually has very good armor coverage for a light 'Mech.

The UrbanMech had many 'disguises' in Battletech...

There was the original:

The Clan IIC version:

The 'armored' version (aka JagerMech):

And the Urbie's BIG brother (the Imp):

I am very old, but if my memory serves me right, the first Mech I piloted (in PnP) was an Urban Mech. I think everyone expected me to die in that thing. Expectations are like elbow's. They don't belong on an Urban Mech.

I toss in my hat with the Urban's. Let the games begin...

Is it just me, or does the Imp remind everyone of some character in the Aqua Teen Hunger Force animated series lmao!
