MWO has really turned me off from the Mech Warrior franchise.

I have spent $200+ on this game. I had hopes of its memory taking the place of great games like MW4 and its expansions in my mind. The only memory I will have of MWO is the complete frustration with the Devs. and the slug like pace at which things get implemented.

Not content like fuzzy dice or things to take my money. Which is fine but doesnt keep interest.

I am talking about maps and game types. Objectives that mean something in the grand scheme of things. Not just grinding 8v8 on the same 5 maps for 10 months straight. How is that going to retain customers? What is the replay value of this?

I have not logged into the game in several months. Most of the group I payed with have done the same. And these were all hard core MW4 guys that also have put hours and huge amounts of $$ into this game.

I had the itch to check the forums to see if things have changed?

New mechs yes...new maps....1...game types....nada....balance and gameplay mechanics that make sense (SRM? UAC/5 Double shot mechanic? Non PPC boat gameplay? JumpJet fix WTF? Community Warfare not played on the same 5 maps?)

I could go on and on.

Ummm, it's only in it's first year and now it's going on year 2. It's going to take time to add more things that need to be PAID for that cost MONEY, time and effort. Give it time.

Don't. I didn't read your post and most people here won't either. If you don't like this game, go away and leave us. I loathe people who think they need to express their pathetic feelings by telling everyone about it. Goodbye dude. And good riddance!

I agree though that we need game modes like Capture the Flag and King of the Hill.

well anyone who spends $200.00 on a game while it's still in beta kinda loses any credibility for complaining about the state of the game. You spent how much? on a game that's not even released yet?

I also like the fact that OP "hasn't logged on" in months but is still complaining about the current state of the game...

I wonder if then he would know there are 7 maps instead of 5...

I had high hopes for MWO.

I was disappointed.

I felt it appropriate to let that be known.

They got my money. They got what they wanted. It was worth a shot. Was a risky investment. Didnt pay off. Sometimes thats the breaks.

That is all.

Enjoy MWO.

Hypocrisy level over 9000

@ OP - I'm finding it a little odd that you're complaining about PPC boat meta when you say MW4 is your idea of the pinnacle of Mechwarrior, since it was largely defined by poptarting sniper alpha.

Sorry mate, but when I read the headline I cannot help but to think:

I love forums but I loathe whine threads...

I think this is possibly the definition of an abusive relationship. You may need an intervention.
