Hi there,

I got a few questions concerning the end-product. I still havent got the right idea of how mech warriors online will look like. I've seen that u as a player will be able to buy and sell stuff in the mechlab.
Coming from another freetoplay game called combat arms I wonder if there will be a similar system.

Where in combat arms players get so called GP points for playing. These GP (game points) can be used to buy anything, weapons, vests, head and facegear etc. There is also a so called black market that gives ppl who want more than just the standard GP stuff the posibility to actually spend real money, called NX.

I really enjoy their gamepoint system and I'm hoping mwo will have something similar.

Another thing I wanted to ask is I saw some ign vids and I know mwo is still beta. I was a bit dissapointed to see that the trees didn't get destroyed by shooting near or on them, the rocket effect are also a bit too less for my taste comparing to mw4mercenaries.
Another thing i saw is the mechstatus on the hud showing the mechs life u could say. Wouldn't it be great if it was showing the actual shape of the mech you're controlling?

what do u guys think...

regards Alex

Yeah after matches you get C-Bills, those can be used to buy mechs, weapons, new paint jobs for your mech, stuff like that. There is also a RL money currency called MC. MC can be used on all the same stuff c-bills can for people that don't want to wait to earn c-bills, MC will also likely have some things you can't get with c-bills but what all is on that list no idea.

okay thats interesting

I've seen a lot of talk about this founder package but I guess it's just some sort of hardcore mechfan boost for the beginning of the game, anything else like starwarstheoldrepublic wouldn't be f2p...

Ah god! Comic sans? Horrible font! Must....push past to answer....questions....

Mech Market. No information released on it whatsoever, however I assume you will be able to buy from and sell to this market. It was confirmed that you cannot sell/give/buy to/from other players. There is word that your allegiance may give you better prices on certain things, but no work on whether the market will sway in pricing throughout the year or after major metagame events.

When you play you earn C-Bills (in-game money), XP (experience used to advance your pilot) and MXP (Mech Efficiency Experience). There are also things known as "Mech Credits" (MC) which are obtained only when you spend real-world money (some things, such as cosmetics will probably only be accepted for purchase via MC). New weapons, ammo and repairs will cost you C-Bills.

As for trees, doing a search would yield multiple threads on how the devs have confirmed that trees WILL be destructible; you are simply viewing beta footage (if you don't understand what Beta is, the essence is that it can be feature-less). They can also change the end result of everything you see; lesson is as always, don't assume what you see is how it will be.

Not sure what you're talking about as far as "Mech's Life". His armor and internals are shown via an infographic. I personally don't care for that shape to change to match your Mech; I like the HTAL bars in separate visual groupings personally.

Trees will be destructible at launch (confirmed by the co-owner of the company, Bryan).

LRMs fire all at once. If the size is what you don' like, then it is also an indirect effect of it, because making them too big would have to come at the price of overlapping.

And lastly, there is no need to have a different sillouette for each mech. Every one of them is composed the same way.

The Founder's Packages DO NOT provide any form of power. You don't get a stronger armor. You don't get faster, cheaper or more powerful weapons/ammo. The only thing it provides you is status recognition as a founder of MWO, a limited access to a premium account, which only boosts c-bills and xp, and optionally for elite founders a Mech with a custom skin and lifetime c-bill booster.

Gaining more XP or C-bills does not make the player strong in any way, shape or form.
