Lieutenant Commander Kool-Aid,

I managed to free up a ton or two at the cost of a single DHS.

CASEd ammo + an extra Medium Laser and 305 Engine: ON1-P(KLA) - PROTECTOR

Non-CASEd ammo + an extra ton of SRM ammo + the above stuff: ON1-P(KLA) - PROTECTOR

Just an engine upgrade (315) keeping the original: ON1-P(KLA) - PROTECTOR

Why haven't I posted anything else here? Probably because I like Orions and noticed a few things could be changed on this for better efficiency.

To a good first (and possibly last) post,

~DH

#23 Trebuchet TBT-5J, named "Epione"; Status: mastered

My Trebuchets are becoming more laser-heavy and less LRM-heavy with every new variant. This one is the most extreme and it's the first Trebuchet that uses JumpJets. Feels like a new chassis for me.

#25 Griffin GRF-1S, named "Greif"; Status: mastered (bought 18th of April)

I mastered the Trebuchet very successfully and I searched for a similar mech. An agile and fast mech with missile hardpoints and a mean possibility to have an answer for attacking brawlers. So I found my first Griffin. Its right laser punch is very devastating... the same holds true for the LRM20. You should freeze in respect when you meet me inside it.

And just for information: yes, "Greif" is the german word for "Griffin". And this mech is as mean as it sounds in german. ;)

Speed: 88.4 kph (97.2 kph with speed tweak); Tonnage 55/55; Firepower 42; Heat Efficiency 1,39; Armor 352
Standard Armor, Endo-Steel Structure, Double Heat Sink, ARTEMIS

#26 Griffin GRF-3M, named "Hellcat"; Status: mastered (bought on 21st of April)

I watched a Catapult A1 with six LRM5 producing a constant line of missiles raining on the enemies. Even if the teachers told me to use big launchers I saw the effect very clearly. It was annoying as hell and that's what I wanted for this mech. So I decided to build a little LRM5 annoying mech and "Hellcat" was born.

Speed: 88.4 kph (97.2 kph with speed tweak); Tonnage 55/55; Firepower 32; Heat Efficiency 1,49; Armor 368
Standard Armor, Endo-Steel Structure, Double Heat Sink
XL Engine 300, two Medium Laser, four LRM5, Beagle Active Probe, Anti-Missile System, four Jump Jets

Implemented mech modules: Advanced Sensor Range and Advanced Target Decay.
Implemented weapon modules: LRM5 Cooldown and Medium Laser Range.
Implemented consumable modules: Cool Shot and Improved UAV.

First ever Clan vs IS Tournament "Worthy Adversary Leaderboard" (August 2014)

(Rank, Name, Score, mastered Griffin, third tournament)
#28 in the league of all IS medium mechs

This was a very exciting tournament. I started right at the beginning and to my surprise the first matches went well and I found myself at #5. I felt that I can really do something special with this mech, so I fought my way to the top of the ranking after three hours of incredible matches.
I left the tournament at night at another #5 and after I woke up if found myself at #15.
I made some more matches, trying to hold this position but after another night, I was #30.
Last night I made another ten matches and could increase my score again and my final position is #28 now. I feel very proud of it because I know that I don't need to hide with this mech. It's one of the best.

Posted Image

This is my first place after three hours in the tournament:
Spoiler

And this is a chat of a guy I meet ingame and he told me about his previous encounter with Hellcat. ;)
Spoiler

This mech holds two records of mine, kill and damage record. Six kills and 1241 damage! I love this mech.

Screenshot of the match:
Spoiler

My best mech ever, the pick of the bunch... it has another jubilee.
On the 14th of November I had my 500th match with it. I mostly play it at group-queue matches and in tournaments and challenges to make sure that I will make it very fast.
Since I added the LRM5 cooldown, it feels like another LRM5 rocket launcher in it. I can nearly create an endless stream of LRM's with only four launchers.
Posted Image

I really enjoyed my jubilee match but then I realized that I missed another jubilee: my 500th kill! I had only 499 kills and I needed another match to clear up the matter. With my need match I did it. On average I killed a mech in every match now.

Some news on the 23th of March, 2015. 1 million XP with the Griffin 3M
On my 877th match with this variant I earned one million XP after mastering this chassis.
Posted Image

More news on the 3rd of June, 2015. My 1,000th match with this variant (without CW, this mech is also part of my CW dropdeck). I drove this mech for 116 hours now. I wasn't able to reach the 2,0 K/D ratio. It's harder than ever to deal damage with LRM's but this mech is still worth to drive it.

One of four mechs of my old Dropdeck 2.0.

This mech got implemented modules (see above).
This medium mech may be used in the middle of the match when long range support and speed is needed. Very good choice in offense (arrival at bridgehead) and defense (swinging from different point to another to help out). This mech never let me down, Clan Invasion is no exception.

#28 Firestarter FS9-Ember, named "Ember"; Status: mastered

I have mastered all light mechs now. Jenner, Spider, Raven, Locust and Commando. But before I could finish it, the Firestarter was released. I decided to finish my Commandos and wait for the Ember in a special sale. And it was worth it, just a few days after finishing my last Commando, I got this one in a sale, 50% off.
Girls like sales, you know? ;)

Speed: 127.3 kph (140.0 kph with speed tweak); Tonnage 35/35; Firepower 40; Heat Efficiency 1,46; Armor 238
Standard Armor, Endo-Steel Structure, Double Heat Sink
XL Engine 275, four Medium Laser, four Machine Guns, three Jump Jets

Note:

Today I mastered the last light variant, this Ember. Now I have mastered six chassis types with three variants each. That makes 18 light mechs mastered. I'm very proud of it. It feels awesome to master not just a variant or a chassis type but a whole class of mechs. It was worth every minute!

#29 Firestarter FS9-H, named "Hellfire"; Status: mastered

Mastering the Firestarter isn't the most exciting thing you can do. Maybe my builds should be more experimental but there is nothing better than medium laser in this mech. So this is nearly the same build as the Ember, just less machine guns and more jump jets. Maybe it's not very exciting but it rocks.

#30 Firestarter FS9-A, named "Ambush" 2.0; Status: mastered

"I tried this variant with other laser types, with flamers, with Tag, but there is nothing more effective than four laser - certainly with the best heat efficiency."
That's what I thought when I mastered my Firestarter. I never was so wrong.
I rebuilt this one with seven Small Pulse Laser. And now it's deadly. More than ever.

Speed: 127.3 kph (140.0 kph with speed tweak); Tonnage 35/35; Firepower 28; Heat Efficiency 1,35; Armor 238
Standard Armor, Endo-Steel Structure, Double Heat Sink
XL Engine 275, seven Small Pulse Laser, five Jump Jets

Implemented mech modules: Radar Deprivation and Shock Absorbance.
Implemented weapon modules: Small Pulse Laser Cooldown and Small Pulse Laser Range.

The Firestarter replaced the Huginn. The Huginn was part of my two previous dropdecks and it has no weight reasons to replace it. The only reason is the fact that my Firestarter won't run out of ammo.

#19 Mech, Victor VTR-DS "Dragon Slayer"

Finally I got my Dragon Slayer. Unfortunately I missed the last sale.

I really tried to stay away from new mechs. Finally I mastered all light chassis available and four medium chassis but I wanted to try a heavy mech so badly! How would it be to drive a 65 ton mech? So I remembered the Thunderbolt from the challenge and invested some money to fit it out.

#32 Quickdraw QKD-4H, named "Revenge" 2.0; Status: mastered

I bought this mech some weeks ago but I did not get used to it yet. Driving heavy mechs is something I really need to train. Calling myself a pro in piloting light mechs means nothing when you are sitting in sixty tons of steel. I chose this chassis as my real first heavy expericence because I can have a maximum speed for a heavy mech. The Quickdraw can be compared with some mediums if you watch its top speed.
My unit should be prepared for the upcoming challenges, so I need some experience with heavy mechs carrying more firepower than my old ones.

After finishing the basic skills for all three Quickdraws I took a long break. It was too early for heavy mechs I guessed. But then I had the chance to lay my hands on some spoils of war. First time ever I drove 55+ ton mechs, Timber Wolf and Summoner strictly speaking. And it was a very successful experiment.
But the upcoming war against the the Clans I needed more experience with IS-Heavies. So I bought three Jagermechs and mastered them.

After this "interlude" I tried again to fight with my Quickdraws successfully. And I finally found a way to do serious damage. I need to drive my Quickdraws like "big Trebuchets". They need to be treated carefully. Additional to that two variants have LRM launchers AND laser weapons for the short range brawl (same as my Trebuchets). So I finally had lots of fun with this mech and now I like it very much. :)

New build!
I removed the big engine because a heavy don't need to be that fast. I needs firepower. I finally got it.

Speed: 81.0 kph (89.1 kph with speed tweak); Tonnage 60/60; Firepower 40; Heat Efficiency 1,3; Armor 384

#33 Quickdraw QKD-5K, named "Vengeance" 2.0; Status: mastered

The same applies to my second Quickdraw. It's a classic laserboat, a brawler.

New build: I replaces the XL360 engine with a standard engine. It works a lot better at a brawler, this is especially true for heavy mechs.

Speed: 81.0 kph (89.1 kph with speed tweak); Tonnage 60/60; Firepower 30; Heat Efficiency 1,33; Armor 394
Ferro-Fibrous Armor, Standard Structure, Double Heat Sink
