I'm looking to buy my first mech and am leaning towards the Lights. I have my eye on the Jenners for now and looking through their stats before buying, I see that the JRK-7 is the only variant whose Free Slot stat has a number in brackets 24(+14).

I can't seem to find any discussion on what this effectively means. Can any experienced Jenner jockeys out there clue me in? Thanks.

It means there are 24 completely empty slots into which you can place additional equipment, and there are 14 slots that are taken up by ES structure or FF armor. The "components" in these slots will dynamicly move to other completely empty slots if you actually want to put a piece of equipment there.

(I actually went and started counting on one of my mechs, but then I noticed the explanation is at the bottom of the mech when you mouse over the Free Slots field.)

it's the number of dynamic slots taken up by structure and armor upgrades.

Also, the Jenner K is probably the weakest of the Jenner options. I'd HIGHLY recommend Sarah's Jenner. You get to donate to charity and her Jenner if fully upgraded, which makes it like a 10million c-bill jenner at least, so it's also a great value. If you do get it, I'd say remove a heat sink to get closer to max armor.
