My concern with the Panther is that the Jenner is pretty much capable of being reworked into a Panther (barring the arm mounted laser, I guess). You could easily get a PPC and SRM4 on it if my understanding of mechlab is correct.

Technically here is my problem with "modding" you can mod one chasis into another, and they all start looking the same. I WANT the panther, not a Jenner with a panther loadout. This comes from a TT background, and an esthetics point as well. I'm completely ignoring Mechlab becuase "this chasis can hold X as well, why do we need it?" doesn't fit in the BT concept.

The Hussar would actually be awful, except maybe the ballistic variant (as we don't have any light ballistic 'mechs right now). Just about any other 30 tonner would be better, because it'd be entirely limited to just a couple energy slots and offer no real advantage over competing lights.

Just curious? why would it be awful? It is a mech that is the closest thing to a Locust that you can "honestly" get. The difference is the LL rather than the slew of short/mid ranged weapons. We are talking a mech that can run circles around just about anything, and have the range of a LL to boot.

I would totally ride a Mackie. That came before 3049, right? :(

I'd love to see either a Gladiator or a Cronus. Both can fill the same slot as my favorite Wolverine beautifully. While I think that FD's versions on the art would fine in regards to the whole HG bullpucky, i'm not holding my breath.

YES! Gladiator was my favorite mech in mw4! I need an assault mech with JJ's and direct fire hard points. I really hope to see something that fits this role early in the game!

Wrong gladiator...you're thinking of the executioner(gladiator) the clan assault mech. which we won't get. I'm talking about the 55 ton orginal home grown Kurita mech http://www.sarna.net...or_(BattleMech)

Also. jumping assault mech, you want either a victor or a highlander...both kinda suck imo. if you want a jumpy mech with punch, try to get a grasshopper or guillotine in the game. (or someday a Gunslinger)

Yeah we need a 35 ton mech that has hands, arm cannon and jumpjets. Panther would be great addition to MWO mech models. And can be used to make a Wolfhound variant.

If MW:O's hardpoint lay-out is simular to highlander's and victor's hardpoint layout in MW4, the victor was capable of packing 2 guass, 1 ppc, and 2 large lasers, and the highlander was capable of packing 2guass, 1 lt guass, and a PPC. I'm really hoping these mechs get in MW:O soon and thier hardpoints are simular. I love me some highlander/victor mech driving.

All true but the timberwolf was introduced in a small battle on "The Rock" mid-3049. And as it was a small battle and not readily know about by the Houses it is understandable why it's still not available (very understandable actually) but it was introduced that's why LIGHTDRAGONS comment slightly pissed me off. Thanks anyways though.

The Orion and the champion would also be good additions, especially the Orion as it was produced back in the 26th century.

Centurion is one of the 12 MWO mech models. Change your vote. Need a Moderator or Dev to make a Pinned List of the 12 Mechs so far in MWO where people can find it..

My favorit mech of all is the Marauder (http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Marauder)
I have one carved in crystal in my desk at work and I'll still get a tattoo of it.
I once read that the name and model of it was proprietary of the right-owners of the original cartoon Macross. So that's why it wouldn't appear in most of the digital games and even had benn cut out of the paper version of the game (Battletech).
I can't check this for 100% TRUE, but I would kill for piloting one of those in this game ! =]
Any confirmation/denial of this info ? I would appreciate if someone had 100% verified info about the Marauder !

Technically true, but we aren't in the bandit kingdoms/periphery, and the devs have said countless times there won't be Clan 'Mechs at launch. So stop asking for them.

We also shouldn't forget that while many designs were developed prior to 3050, some of them became effectively extinct and some (like the Annihilator) are effectively clan designs since they showed up in the Inner Sphere with Wolf's Dragoons. While it is possible they'll make an appearance, the odds are low.

I don't know where the official source is, but yes the Maurader is on the "Unseen" list. The issue comes up from a company called Harmony Gold, who own the International (outside of Japan) distribution rights for Super Dimension Fortress Macross, where the design comes from. They're the ones who raise a stink about it.

Great idea guys! Lets repost every mech link from sarna 50 times in a new thread because this will increase the likely hood of mechs being included!

....

The Devs are BT fans. They are aware of the mechs. Some cannot be used due to copyright. Stop posting clan mechs, you look like an ID-10T error.

The UrbanMech.
Posted Image
Comeonnnnnnn.
The Urbie should be a no brainer. I mean it's so cheap you can practically put one together in a cave out of a box of scraps. It's specifically designed for urban warfare, which is what we've been told this game is all about. It's one of the most common light mechs due to it's price, with every house having dozens of them just lying around the place. And the default configuration packs an AC/10 with a standard variant packing an AC/20.

This is a light mech that hides in alleys, disguised as a trash can and then violates mechs twice it's size with it's Autocannon. It even looks like it could make a mean glass of orange juice. What's not to love?
