I actually prefer the less-human mechs, they look more like a functional war-machine than "Huh. . . Lets ah. . . Replicate humans. . . But big!" So I like the Anilihlator ect. . . But no protomechs. . . I swear it looks like one Gauss shot would gut them inside out.

Actually one of my least favorites has always been the Atlas. My two favorites have always been the Madcat and the Marauder. I'm more of a fan of the tank/jet look with a cockpit that doesn't look like a face. Also, the Axeman. Just terrible. a

The axman looks pretty terrible yeah. Every time I look at the head I can't help but think it looks like some kind of fish. And the useless lasers on the legs of the 6x variant, *** ****, why?

Sokespmech for the clans, sure. I'd say, however, that the Warhammer and the Atlas are the spokesmech of Battletech, given they've traditionally graced the covers of each edition of the main rule book.

I'll start off my saying the Hoplite.

Medium mech low profile. It one of the best looking mech in the medium weight class, good stock load out too.

I will say anything called urbanmech, look like a walking trash can that atlas rip the head off and put trash in.

Just about half of the 3055 TRO, most notably the Viper, Falconer, Bandersnatch, etal. The Wraith just looks like a cockroach on steroids.

I happen to agree ont eh madcat, it is the most terribly designed mech in existence it's entire concept begs to get the operator killed in a ball of exploding missile ammunition. Furthermore the Atlas and Warhammer are indeed more memorable and Battletech's Icon. I'd also go so far as to commit battletech blasphemy and agree with the guy who said the Marauder's design is stupid, cause it is equally as insanely impractical as the madcat, leave it to borrowed anime designs to screw stuff like combat efficientcy up.
