i think so. its on their official google+

it look fanmade though.

they are probably just using the same methods fans use to generate these new concept arts.

much easier than having alex redraw them.

i'm finding the geometry change on the shadow hawk a little dissapointing

It looks like concept art, really.
Same basic image, but recolored with new paint-scheme, which is (yes) the way that fan-made re-colors work as well.
If those are the official paint-schemes for the Phoenix package mech, I can definitely live with it. Looks like they'll be much more re-paint friendly than the Founder's mechs.

Who knows, their usage of social networks leaves a bit to be desired...

i love the standard locust. With those downward arm fins gone, the style of its arms is mounted higher on the torso. and more similar to the classic locust

Nice find! Presumably the "colorful" ones are the Phoenix geometries? And the green ones are the are the standard geo?

Yeah I agree. After running around in a SPD-5K for a while, I don't know that I am looking forward to the same build minus 10 tons of armor, equipment and JJs.

This is the best I could figure out for the Locust...

The engine restriction is fairly damning, since with a 170XL you can't fit Endo, Ferro, and DHS (well, not if you have more than 5 crits of weapons+ammo). Of the three, DHS is the obvious drop, since with only one energy hardpoint the Locust really can't run very hot.

Just noticed that the decals on each phoenix mech indicates the phoenix package tier.

For example,
Posted Image

talon emblem on the locust, Thunderbolt on the shadow hawk etc

Though that the thunderbolt does not have the two colored shield insignia is a bit suspicious.

Nice. "Thud" on the Thunderbolt's chest and "Lookist" on the Locust's. Gave me a chuckle.
