Devs probabley already know this. Just recapping, anything moving sideways at more then 180 meters... is a snowballs chance in hell. I even missed ... ATLASES on direct hits.

I can confirm that many times you slap in the face of standing atlases (and not only atlases) something like 18 or 16 srms, all enter the target graphically, but the crosshair never paints red and no damage is awarded at ALL.

Devs seem to know it, but they said they'll be investigating the issue, I bet they'll take a lot of time, like they did with HUD bugs..

SRMs shoot from where the server thinks you are, not where you think you are.

I.E. if you are moving you'll see the missiles come out behind you.

EDIT: or maybe its just lag. If you have a 300 ping do you see latency with missiles come out or not?

I perfectly know about positional desynchronization caused by HSR (I was one of the firsts to postulate it in detail back in April); SRM detection is off often; what I described above it's that I have experienced totally non-damage alphas on standing Atlases (or other mechs, not necessarily atlases, it's difficult to miss :)) while we both were standing still for more than 1 second.. Plain non-detected hits, HSR isn't the culprit, or it maybe it is but then it must have rolled me back my position to 1.5/2 seconds earlier, and that doesn't explains those times in which the rockets enter the target correctly also by moving sideways with the target moving as well.

In few words, it's totally randomic..
