Seeing the 3PV test results today I think it's pretty safe to say we have been beta testers alright... beta testers for XBox One

3rd person was always going to offer substantial advantages over FFP.

No sane person would ever doubt that.

In other news, has anyone noticed in the 'the maths feedback' thread how it seems more people with post counts under 100 are showing up to voice their displeasure and how lopsided the feedback is in relation to the for/against of the thread topic?

What you mean like the massive lopsided out cry against 3PV when first discussed. I mean PGI changed course then right, wait you say 3PV is on the test server. Oh that's right they told us they don't listen to the forums because we're a tiny slice of he player base and can safely be ignored.
Like I've said before , this time it will be different, I mean there's a letter and now a invalid poll that begs people to say that they "intend" to either ask for a refund if no changes or "intend" to buy (generally the biggest package) if changes are made. I mean who in their right mind wouldn't pick those options when there's no actual way to verify. I'm sure those numbers are 100% valid.

Notch asking you again to take it down a er notch please.

You are replying your own posts now and ok sure we get it, maybe you are more resigned than others as to possible outcomes and solutions. Certainly you seem to be advocating apathy but let the town hall folk discuss without you shouting everyone down. Perhaps these folk aren't as jaded and are more well motivated.

If you have something to say (and obviously you do) then please go start your own thread about it (but dont spam this one eh?)

Ahh, soo much better. That block feature is great. Reading his posts was like listening G. W. Bush speak. The best part is he can't respond to this, and if he does I can't see it.

Back on topic, phase #2 engage!

No 3PV...this is a game breaker for me. I am a full time FPV and do not want to play this game or any other game in mixed MMO with 3PV.

There is a time and a place for 3PV -- never and in the trash can!

You shouldn't fault us for giving it a last try as a community, instead of as a set of unrelated polls and individual efforts.

I sir will not fault you for yours or anyone's opinions I personally do not like what your trying to accomplish as in a (Grand Counsel) for the whole MWO community. Like I have stated I may not like all the devs do but I would trust there decisions over yours or a counsel on game design.

I don't think you understand what the aim of this was at all. Not even a little.

I don't necessarily agree but as someone who does not own a horse I endorse your use of the word "Plebian".

Sir I assure you I do understand what your group it trying to do but like the wise man says never trust a group who wants POWER in the guise of helping the community. Here is a example 3rd person view many polls were done over 2 years 60% against 40% for each view FPV or 3rd person view if you add them all up. If your group said hey most do not want 3rd person view so we will try to extort PGI till they delete that feature would that be right for the 40% that wanted that feature? HELLL NO IT WOULD NOT but your group would still try to make PGI delete 3rd person view. This is the main reason I don't not like small groups running a game there always biased one way or the other and the true players always lose out on features others might want and like. And yes im all in favor of a 3rd person view as long as its on a separate queue from FPV and there not mixed in game play. All I can say is I hope PGI locks this thread or ignores you as a group. You say this

and then immediately follow with this. Oh dear. You really DON'T get it do you? Nobody wants power over anyone else. What "we" did was invite everyone, including you, to try build a consensus amongst the entire playerbase to present to the devs with the aim of getting them to at least tell us WTF they're thinking.

Blar blar extortion (Princess Bride meme goes here) blar blar small group (of the entire playerbase..... "1 million registered accounts" isn't small) blar blar GIANT IMAGE. If you aren't going to at least ackowledge the slim possibility that there's no conspiracy to ruin your fun here, could you at least stop ******** up the place with pointless images? Thanks.

Well friend you have just proved my point about biased ideas or groups. You assume I place the pictures in my posts to annoy you and others and there pointless? The true reason I place pictures in my posts is to let new players see what the older MechWarrior games were like and what BT-TT-MechWarrior were like because 95% of MWO players did not get to play the old games or experience the golden days of MechWarrior and leagues. Thanks for your anger and biased words they will be remembered by many others who come along and read through this topic.

He's educating new players by spamming pictures of old MW games and random TT images to do.... a thing. Because new players are reading this thread. Mmhmm. I see.

As a matter of fact I have! Earlier this week I wanted to track "new poster" style feedback in older threads, it's not particularly feasible since I'd have to check their post history to see if it was one of their first posts or not. The idea was to get some statistics on satisfaction/frustration between new and old players -- over time -- in response to various PGI feedback/announcement threads

It's hard to get that data as I indicated due to the legwork required, but based on what I've seen, it's probably safe to say that new players and old players alike are becoming increasingly frustrated or disappointed compared to the optimism witnessed in the past. I won't call out specific names but several people who have been really vocal about defending PGI's course have rethought their devotion, and a couple have used the new Ask The Devs format to voice their concerns.

It also could be a group of people creating accounts simply to voice displeasure twice or more in the guise of new forum goers. If PGI truly wanted accurate input they would have an ingame poll and ask people. To date I have only seen one poll posted by PGI.

That's what he means by lots of work. You'd need to check account creation date and have some way to check how active an account has actually been in game to judge properly.

A lot of these accounts have prior post history and founders tags. I don't think anyone is going to make troll accounts worth $120 dollars.

Sure a lot do but a lot is an arbitrary number. There are a lot of low post non tagged too. I am just saying dont discout people double or triple account creating to add weight to a point.

And conversely, the people with low post counts and founders tags are quite real, so we could argue in circles like this all day. Your argument doesn't validate anything we don't already know.
