So make sure to say you "intend" to ask for a refund if you ordered or you will order the $80 package as there's no reason not to and every reason to try to skew the numbers so they appear bigger. Remember statistically significant, and no one will actually make you ask for refund or place that order.

u know this is a good stat. i would have brought overlord IF the game was going a dcent direction. u know a 120 days, and 4 mechs with 30% c bill bonus and them early. is not such a bad deal. while support this great IP. my huge problem is PGI is going a bad direction. balance can be done by tweaking wep numbers not adding huge complicated systems. this impacts new players which this IP needs. alot of us are in our mid 20's to 40's, but for this game to live on for the next 5 or so years we need that younger gen of gamer. we that 18- 20's crowd

Whoa, wait; you got a direct reply from one of the devs? Can that be screenshotted? It would go far to shoot down ppl discreditting you all by saying PGI doesnt care
I don't think Garth qualifies as a dev, he's the community manager if I'm not mistaken.

There's big differences between hearing complaints, considering suggestions, and caring about what a part of the community has to say ...
- when PGI hears complaints ... the typical response seems to be "just noise" or "you're on an island"
- when PGI considers suggestions ... there's usually a vague response, but right now, their "to do" wish list is pretty long
- when PGI cares about something, we usually see pretty quick reactions, sometimes good, sometimes bad
I do believe they need to seriously improve the weapon and mech balance, so that players who want to play competitively have more incentive to do so. I've got a feeling that if the game's balance at the higher skill levels wasn't weighted so heavily towards one type of play (for the past few months, it's been sniping assaults), more people would be having more fun, and this movement wouldn't have been necessary.
Hopefully, PGI will start to care about game balance at the higher skill levels and demonstrate that they care about the new player experience (rather than just hearing complaints and listening to suggestions).

That specifically frightens me about this game right now, I'm worried that all of the diehard mechwarrior/battletech fans will be put off and it'll start becoming a home to CoD kiddies and appeasement to the masses (the wrong masses), which its well on its way towards, thus ruining a franchise. If that's the case I'll wait for Robotech to make a game I guess.

I am not going to name names, but if you notice existing trends in the community at this time (even within #savemwo threads and Ask The Devs threads) you will also notice certain responsible parties being routinely called out. Some of these responsible parties are also called out by PGI staff in infamous "PGI gets rolled by high-alpha long-range ppc-heavy teams" videos on the PGI twitch tv page. There are many people at PGI who do care, but the impression you will get is that there are particular obstacles (of a higher pay-grade).

This whole effort isn't just about the mega-groups, it's great to see smaller outfits signing on.

Also; why are the ppl here callong them Goons yet at one point in the feed; they specifically say theyre not affiliated with Goons from EVE?
Lots of good points brought up; heres hoping you get traction
We are indeed goons, although not exclusively EVE-goons. It's a very large group, with a variety of talents and tastes, and that's what really gives us a strong culture because of that internal diversity. Some don't even play games at all.

Mistaken identity, guilt by association, etc. ... Word of Lowtax =/= Goonswarm ... there are probably some members that are affiliated with both, and the attitude by both can be similar (don't tell us how to play the game, we'll play the way we want to).
In my observation, some WoL members are jerks, some are nice guys ... but mostly, they just want to blow up big stompy 'mechs with violent combat robots. Just be aware, they appear to be a well organized group, that will use every bit of that organization to their advantage.
Ignore the "squawk"s and "gg close"s, or troll them back, I say.

In my experience Goons are indeed Goons. If you do not want to be associated with Goons then don't be associated with Goons.
On a side note, the above mentioned Goons seem to have a good time, but within that good time they are also douchebags. Sooooo do you still want to be associated with Goons. They are a big group correct?
I missed the townhall because I had to work like grown ups sometimes do. Would have loved to been there and be drowned out by the spoiled minority that is generally the loudest.
Anything work out for y'all so far?
