If the map is so large that a fast mech can't actually make a single round of all of the capture points before the game ends.. THE MAP IS TOO BIG.. or the game is ending too quickly and isn't really "conquest" rather it's "walk around and hope you run into the other team otherwise it's going to be a boring 10 minutes while the light mechs play ring-around-the-capture points".
750 point capture limit doesn't give hardly any mechs (even the fastest) time to recover from one side of the map to the other currently.

It's not the fault of PGI that you take mechs that aren't suited for Conquest. Take a faster mech. If you want to duke it out with other mechs then go play Assault.

Well, I have already played 428 matches in Tourmaline, and 254 matches in Alpine (I'm sure many have similarly high numbers compared to the rest of the maps, since stat tracking started), so I dunno if I want those matches to be longer than what they already are for most Conquest matches.
And I understand your frustration, but IMHO that kind of change seems unnecessary right now. Even as annoying as a match like that can be, I'd rather just live with it, and go on to the next match.

This is all about tactics and not all running around around and around.
Split your team. Use one or two heavies to pin the other team. Don't hunt lights. Get on a base and stay there. This doesn't take a genius to donwell

Have you EVER played a pug match? Maybe I should also make my teammates dance on their heads, while I'm at it.
