BTW, you never answered how you did those fly in shots XD.

Those freecam shots are from official mwo videos that were done during closed beta. They all can be found from 'MWO youtube' channel.

New TV Spot style video:

Slightly off - topic, but what's your rig like? I'd expect huge FPS rates to get slo-mo shots like that...

You videos are awesome Wauweli. Why are they all private now?

What happened?

Lack of support (from PGI towards community content), Reddit downvoting, at early stages PGI did put these on Facebook, then they stopped. NGNG only puts up their work, and very rarely one of mine.

Now we have jumpjet shake and cockpit glass that simply ruins every trik i had to film this allready hard game to capture.

I had storyboards for couple nice vids. But putting all this together i clearly see its not worth it. Im making lonely stand and propably no one cares, but atleast i did what i thought i needed.

(Best support i got was from Garth who had my text as signature, but i bet no one noticed.)

PS: I still do like the game. And i never expected it to be more than WOT with mechs, and its fine by me.

True words, wauweli. You were for our Tamar-Media-Company an example for the creation of awesome MWO videos. We and all other video creators regret your decision to quit, especially the removal of your videos from Youtube for the public.

Maybe you'll even find back this summer to MWO for some new video creation.....

I can second this.

You inspired me and I guess some more people in the TMC to do videos and you were an example of how good high-quality videos of MWO can look.

I know what your point is and I can only, again, second this. We stopped every recording until private matches come out, because recording sessions with 24 people just don't work.

I hope to see you again in April, or maybe earlier. If you need anything, feel free to contact me.

No i won't get offended. Simply because you are right.

I feel you. But i do also know people who subbed me have seen my vids. And they WILL come back online. But for now they stay behind doors.

I would love to do those videos about MWO that i wanted for a long long time, But Making those videos now is impossible. I have put many many many hours into those and not showing is not easy for me. But sad truth is video from NGNG that is way below quality of my vids get noticed around PGI world. And mine get downvoted to hell.

And now like i stated i cannot even do videos. Only tool for making videos are given to NGNG

-Hours of work with little payback, or decent place to share them.
-Lack of support for community videomakers.
-Lack of tools for filming.

Atleast i need better filming tools. And when i get those i will get back to work and videos will be online again.

EDIT: put 3 videos up. They are in other web pages so it would be rude to take them out. And Maybe this reminds everyone what was done while back.

Hey Wauweli,
Longtime fan of your vids, they were always solid. While I understand your decision based on lack of recording support, I wouldn't be so quick to do it based on downvotes. Anything that showcases the game in /r/mwo recently tends to get downvoted unfortunately. I'm not sure if you were aware but you may want to check out /r/outreachhpg. I think your videos might be better received there, or at least I would hope so.

Either way, I look forward to you hopefully returning!

Thanks for support everybody.

I have both reddit channels on bookmarked, and actually find that its not only bad thing that there are 2 of them. But there is also plenty of bad sides of it. Many post will get buried fast.

I will continue my lonely fight for better recording tools. (But truth is mechs are so cool that i will eventually get back) But dear PGI get on it ;)

And put us community content providers on somekind of stand. I mean it's simply stupid not to.

You are wrong there. You are not lonely.
You have at least 150 german guys on your side, especially 5 of them

We are all "fighting" for better video tools, upcoming video artist Kuga too.

Look what we achieved:

It's not over and we won't get silent unless we have the tools we need.

IGP is not stupid and they realize that fan-made videos are the best kind of advertisement they will get, just sit back, play another game and come back soon.

You'll be missed.

As I said, the reason for our unit now having a whole media group was one of your videos. I watched it and wanted to do the same, just as a group. And then the story began

Great work! I kneel before your editing greatness.

It's good to know you're not giving up on this, because there are a lot of people who are going to enjoy your videos.

Keep it up! See you on the battlefield!
