Actually, we did get "Big things" this month. Just think:

FIRST PATCH
We got the new slope movement which is a big thing since it changes the way the game is played and is something that the game needed (although I do think it needs a few minor changes to the numbers) along with some smaller additions of which most of them are welcome

SECOND PATCH
This month we got the heat changes (I know most people believe that this one made the game worse and I respect their opinion but we can all agree that it is a "Big thing" as it changes the way the game is played by a lot and was intended to be liked by the community). Plus the fact that this patch made us able to choose which map to play on testing grounds which is something that the game needed

THIRD PATCH
Just the fact that there is a third patch this month is a big thing by itself. This patch is confirmed to contain a new map which is very welcome.

Not to mention that we got the Public test server and had the chance to try out 12v12 as well as a server hardware update which is likely to improve hit detection at least by a bit.

I'd say this month was pretty big. Most of us (including myself) overestimated the big things we were promised but if you think of it again, the game played quite differently in June than now and despite the new heat system which I personally do not like, the game overall feels a lot better now.

Edit: Forgot to mention Sarah's mech which recieved a lot of support from the community

And i hope, in the patchnotes there are three lines that say:

- Fixed Hitbox issue on Spider Mechs
- Fixed Hitbox issue on Centurion Mechs
- Fixed Hitdetection bug

How about:

Fixed the damned terrible terrain hitboxes on Forest Colony and Tourmaline Desert that let you be shot whilst not being able to shoot a mech clearly out in the open.

Stop shooting them in damaged arms/side torsos. This is intentional damage reduction for damage moving through destroyed components. (which the Centurion has notably large ones)

If you can't hit the CT, shoot them in the leg.

Oh wow. I did not know that. I always wondered how Damage transfers worked in MWO. I was actually starting to think damage didn't transfer at all.

Some servers are quite small.

I'd like to get a rundown as to exactly what hardware the server will run on, you know, for geeky reasons.
And I think this is a step in moving towards launch, as everything else. We might not see an early release of 12v12 but at least the server's already gonna be better prepped for it when it happens. And generally better performance as well.

Just going out on a limb to guess they are heavy users of Itanium kit.

Hardware compatibility is on the side of the box make sure you read it before you install. Let me know when I can knock trees over and light them on fire to create false sensor reads.

Big **** ups every patch combined with things do qualify for that Statement? ;)

No, i allways hope each patch does break less than it brings and forwards the game into a good direction. -_-

while you're at it can you add an option to just turn off the chatbox? the vile and abusive forum-goers have been spilling their attitudes into the game increasingly more these past couple of weeks

- Moved Head Hitbox to foot for CoD-style toe kill-shot to entice more 3pv mongrels and take their money

Seriously tho - content delivery and communication are at least a notch up in the last month compared to what we've been seeing.

Back when I played WoT actively I received a one day extension to premium account on most patch days. I don't know how they handle it nowadays, though. Also 1 day for 3 hours wouldn't actually be that outlandish, since MWO patches occur at gaming prime time in some regions and 3 hours is probably more than most use their premium time per day anyway.

Really hoping this is the patch where hit detection gets fixed!

Put my Overlord money to good use and let me nail those light 'mechs with an AC/20!

It's not the hit box detection that you have an issue with, it's your aim. I nail them all the time with AC20s, AC10s, and AC5s.
