oh geez, from reading the over 6 threads on this issue scattered on the forums it does seem to be an AMD processor issue...

WTF PGI!

i suggest we continue to make noise, as it seems the only way to get PGI to do anything is to complain vehemently.

Could anyone having this issue also post here? make sure you mention if you have an AMD processor.

http://mwomercs.com/...feedback-12233/

as it is an issue with the patcher...

Let's try disconfirmation instead. If anyone has this problem but does NOT run an AMD processor would you please speak up?

I've got a Phenom II X4 Black Edition Deneb 3.2 Ghz and since today's patch I can launch the game and enter matches, but the client will randomly hard lock and force me to use task manager to close it. It's disappointing to see that there seems to be a technical issue plaguing AMD users after the recent patch...

I´ve got a AMD FX6200 6 x 3,8 GHz AM3+ and a Radeon HD7700 graphicscard. Same Problem: Client starts and then I get this ******* appcrash window. New download doesn´t work, repair tool doesn´t work. Patience doesn´t work very long either.

Have read the the error only occurs at pc´s with AMD CPU´s and AVAST on it. Have deinstalled AVAST and the game works!!!

Same problem as everyone here. I tried everything, Uninstalled, cleaned registry, reinstalled, ran repair tool. I have an AMD Phenom II 1090T X6. Anybody know if a fix is being worked on? Also I can confirm its not software related, I disabled basically everything with msconfig and it did not help at all.

Nothing helping. We have 3 choises:

1. buy intel (hmm.. not an option for me - not cheap, and stupid)
2. play Hawken, dayz, and others cool games
3. wait for a miracle.

anyway. Please, write to support@mwomercs.com with this problem.

Can't play too, but i did not catch appcrash. Just pushing blue "play" button, then she's turn into grey "please wait" button and... Thats all. That starts right after today's patch.

Reinstalling client (2 times), restarting router, using MWORepairTool (4 times) and tambourine didnt helps.

Same problem here
Report is APPCRASH -.-
Reinstaled once a used repair tool twice. No mismatch found

I have AMD Athlon II x2 250 and ATI(AMD) Sapphire HD 6670...which means I am screwed and my Premium ticking away...hell I bought Overlord pack yesterday -.-

EDIT:Uninstaled AVAST! and game works ...

What was all that? AMD + Avast issue? WTF? How that possible?

Anyway, i can play now. That bad, becouse i already start to play in DayZ Origins :)))

AMD and Avast user here. I can confirm uninstalling Avast fixed my problem, you must restart your system after uninstalling for it to take effect.

Really? Has anyone read the Avast logs to see if Avast is quarantine any files during launch/play?

Or before uninstalling Avast, does your version have the ability to exclude MWO folder/subfolders from active scanning?

Maybe memory management is so bad that Avast is thinking MWO is trying to hijack the system...
Same stuff as you see with UI corruption, but writing outside application reserved memory addresses.
Memory management is handled differently on HW level.
Just before patch I had client freeze when mech heat % display started to show WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW...
Going near bases shows wierd textures on the "no signal" displays...etc.

Does your mobo have temperature sensors? Prior to installing a water cooler, I had shutdown problems related to CPU and VCore temperatures.
