Full AMD system here, I am on and playing, spectating after being blown to bits by Atlases.. So I figured I would chime in. On Voip with a friend having the same issue, also on an AMD system. What chip are you guys using? Zambezi is his chipset, and I am one newer on the Vishera.

I did not patch until 8pm CST, and was able to play, so I am having him do a 3rd install to attempt to fix this. I don't think there is any way the launcher would have issue with AMD systems, this seems more like a registry issue or some sort of borked up port forwarding issue.

baloney! If I have been able to play the game after a previous patch then there should be NO difference with this one.

[REDACTED]

fair enough, and it did get some attention. I was wondering if anybody was actually moderating.

After having looked at the other thread for this issue, it looks like they borked up AMD based systems.

Anyone having this issue with an intel based system?

Ahhhh, this seems to be the problem then. I'm running an AMD system and video card and it doesn't work, other friends are using intel and they're playing just fine.

I believe mine is the Zambezi. It's a six-core with the shared math co-processors. Yeah not top of the line, but no slouch either. I wonder if this is the "math" update.

Looks like Phenom and Zambezi are affected, but not the newer chips. Post your chip if you have the issue please, it may help Devs identify the issue.

Yeah, this seems most accurate, mine's a Zambezi octo-core

This is not an AV/Firewall issue.. It seems to be a pattern, it is not working for Hexicore AMD users. I have been attempting to help many friends get this resolved with no luck. They all have the same issue with the greyed out "Please Wait" and are unable to launch the client post patch.

AMD A6 black series(dual trinity core) oc'd to 4.3g. I lock up and ctd at random intervals. Geforce GTX 650 gpu, 8 gigs of ram.

edit: this has started happening since 2 patches ago not including today's patch. it's been stable until recently. I am currently able to run the client, I haven't dropped into a game yet

Only a 4 core Amd Phenom II X4 925 but my Avast/Firewall was fine before the patch just not after the patch.
Again not even able to access the game ,,, just getting stuck from the Launcher and "Please Wait"

Yeah, so far I am only seeing Zambezi and Phenom, it appears the amount of cores is of no consequence. There could very easily be some other common factor here, but it does seem odd that mostly Zambezi and Phenom users are affected. Are the logs they are posting showing you what is actually happening with the launcher at this point? To me it just seems to be stalled at "waiting"

I'm running an AMD Phenom II 6 core CPU here.

So the issue is with people such as myself who run 6+ cores and not just with AMD istelf then?
