Had the same issue. Only I tried a reinstall and got the additional error of "MD5 hash of Local file doesn't match that of the file on Server"

I already knew this, but to state it bluntly for everyone else, were all up **** creek until pgi gets its act together and fixes this. Find something else to play for the time being, as the fix probably wont be available until the hotfix day. (friday IIRC) Enjoy the break from this buggy game, and come back with a fresh perspective. I know i will. Payday 2 Beta, here i come!

I was informed yesterday via my support ticket that the devs/gamemasters assigned to my problem had "solved" my issue and had this to say, "Unfortunately we have not been able to reproduce the issue and we have not observed any particular issue in the documents sent." This support ticket was in response to the problem happening to me on the last 12 v 12 public test. I have since used the repair tool, reinstalled, and removed all of my nvidia settings for the game, I have disabled my AV/FW (Avast & Comodo), I've run as admin/compatibility mode, removed my overclock for my processor (restored to default settings in BIOS) as well as my graphics card etc etc etc.

I'm on FX 6300 Nvidia GTX 660ti. My roommates have had no problems and they have a FX 6100 w/770 as well as FX8320 w/660ti. All of us have the same motherboard as well as a few other bits and pieces. I've already spent enough time trying to figure out this problem so I'll leave it up to cooler heads and play some newly acquired steam sale crap. If I hear anything relevant from pgi in response to my "solved issue" I'll post it here.

Please include anti virus. Seems some of us are using AMD and Avast and are affected. Please include that info as well.

I use Avast and have the Vishera AMD, it works just fine for me currently with no changes to any settings. It really is an odd issue, but it clearly is affecting plenty of players. I want my friends to be able to come back on and enjoy their newly delivered Sarah's Jenners!

Just want to chime in here that I am on an FX-8350 and am having the problem so they aren't immune either.

It strikes me as very unlikely you'd have an issue that flat out prevents any AMD processors of certain lines from working. It seems to affect some AMD users but not others.

If anyone out there has this problem and is running Intel please speak up?

Same problem here, AMD procesor and double NVIDIA GeForce cards, Game will not start after today's patch.
reinstalled the game and nothing, repair tool kit did nothing.

They need to fix this ASAP or tell us what to do.

You must be joking, right? Piggi's track record with 'getting stuff done' usually dwindles somewhere around the mark of 'after the next Grab Deal'. And quite how, how, how they could fluff this one up is beyond me, but Piggi's gonna pig.

Regardless: I'm running an AMD Phenom II X4 955 processor, ATI Radeon HD5770, AVAST! antivirus. I have friends running identical rigs to mine (we all used the same kit list) who are running the game without issues. I have tried everything short of re-formatting my computer to get MWO running - a fresh re-install, repair tool, disabling the firewalls/AV protection. Nothing works.

Piggi, fix this. Your reputation was never at stake - that's already in tatters - but I'd like to see a little effort towards redemption.

That's the same as mine - AMD FX 8150 is Zambezi core. You're a lucky one!!! (read: unlucky)

I'm not convinced AV has anything to do with it since MWO still won't run if you have your AV completely disabled (tried that). That said, mine's also Avast!av

Edit: Wow, swing and a miss on my part, it's totally some conflict with Avast, after uninstalling Avast, works now.

Does anyone use the Comodo Firewall? Last year during closed beta, I had big trouble with this firewall, because I had blocked fragmented IP packages and switched on ARP cache protection.Look at this page: http://mwomercs.com/...33/page__st__20Is Avast the troublemaker?

how many people with this problem are running Avast a/v? i had just installed it on a new amd laptop right before the patch, that had been playing MWO just fine, and MWO played with the a/v just fine. Then had this problem after the patch. So i uninstalled the a/v, downloaded a new MWO install, and am playing just fine now. I did not reinstall the a/v at this time.

No issues on the following

Deneb (955)
APU (3500M/3850)
Thuban (1100T)
Vishera user (FX-8320).

Own all of those, all will run just fine.

for AV, I use Nod 32

I HAVE FIXED MY PROBLEM! Apparently Avast is in fact the culprit, I uninstalled it and restarted the pc, BAM, working fine. Have yet to test it with avast reintalled.

AMD and Avast user here. I can confirm uninstalling Avast fixed my problem, you must restart your system after uninstalling for it to take effect.
