Same for LRM. It should not be the launcher but total missiles.

Dumb PGI at it again.

Normal math: Set maximum missiles for heat penalty then apply the penalty when you fire more than that max.

PGI math = fail

That'd be great, heck it should be number of missiles per salvo, not even per launcher. So a Lurm 20 out of an Atlas RS should COUNT as Lurm 5 salvos! Then balance the missiles properly.

Also, there is more confusion on how to stack different laucnhers.

For LRM, they cap out at 2. Fire 3 of any variety and you get hit with heat penalty.

However, for SRM, it is 4 for SRM2 and SRM4 but 3 for SRM6. Which count applies when mixed?

So if I fire 2 SRM6 and 2 SRM4, do I get the penalty? Wnat about 1SRM6 and 3 SRM4?

Just stupid. Confusing. Impossible to keep track of all the if, ands, and buts of it all.

For LRM, you can fire 2xLRM20 for 40 missiles with no heat penalty but firing 3 LRM10 and you get hit. DUMB.

I meant total number of missiles in a shot in my post; hopefully not confusing. The whole point is to ignore the launcher.

What limitation? Check what weapons you have (which it also does for just about everything) and add up the numbers. It's a simple arithmetic operation.
