"- Missiles were sometimes doing more damage than their listed amount. This has been fixed.
- SRM max range had an issue of being innacurate in the simulation. This is now significantly improved and any variation should be negligible."

Ive been feeling like srms aren't doing the damage they should since the patch, i can help but wonder if they broke something while making their bug fixes, seems like the damage isnt registering

This is absolutely true. I ran multiple performance tests with a splatcat before and and after the patch and effective damage has been reduced significantly.

Running through the testing grounds, being careful to hit with as many missles as possible (I stand still 100m directly in front of target and I'm firing srm4s with Art) and not overheat, the number of missles required to kill all mechs has increased by roughly 20%.

In addition, I'm not sure the changes in heat are being properly applied. Even switching to chain firing has caused me to shut down far more often than prior to this patch, but after the last patch. It's hard to tell, however, due to what I perceive to be a decrease in the effective damage totals.

I have more than 200 drops in a splatcat, so I'm pretty familiar with its heat profile. After the last patch, the heat did increase with an alpha, but it was manageable. I changed to firing 2 srm4 together, then 4 srm4 together, and was able to consistently keep from shutting down. Now I'm shutting down even when I switch to chainfire. It's hard to determine if heat's really the issue, however, since the applied damage appears to be much lower and it may be that I'm simply having to fire more missles to kill the same target and thus shutting down.

It is not your imagination...watch as I alpha 56 points into a point blank catapult in order to do a grand total of 13 points of damage!

That video isn't exactly the best proof. He was waaaay too close, your weapons are mounted very high, you can even see some went past him and impacted the rock face.

There may very well be a problem with the hit detection, but that video isn't very convincing.

So I missed with 4/5ths of the armament? Really....Just for fun I went and set up the EXACT same shot in Testing Grounds it took two volleyes to remove the left torso with that exact same shot in testing grounds.

I would get more footage in game but I am too tired of this broken game garbage to be bothered to find someone willing to let me alpha them in the face.

I have the feeling that the Bugfixing made SRM lost Punch and that is bad for those who can only boat 2 of them and rely on lightweight weaponry.

But why care...only Jedi can hit those who start to warp around as soon they get a yellow armor...or Streaks and suddenly al the hate makes sense...
