Woah watch out everyone, we have an internet lawyer here. Since you appear to be the only claiming the PGI stole your money, why don't you do this and put your money where your mouth is.

Since we have already established that his money is in MWO (as he wants a refund) does that mean you're implying he should put MWO where his mouth is? My god, he wants... he wants to make him eat MWO!

How does gameplay work?
MechWarrior Online puts MechWarriors into a first-person, team-based, tactical battlefield where the victors swim in the spoils of war and are rewarded with the almighty C-Bill (in-game currency).

Each team has 8 players and the two teams are pitted in combat in an enclosed battlefield. Communication is key, be it in-game chat, integrated C3, or a third party VOIP solution, keeping in constant communication with your teammates will drastically increase your team’s chances of success.

The various weight classes of BattleMechs help create their own evolving roles on the battlefield. Fast moving scouts can feed target and tactical information back to the main battle group and the team commander. This information allows the support and assault role pilots to decide where to put their resources to work. Long-range fire support and heavy hitting assault class Mechs will use this invaluable information to finish the job at hand. It is up to you, the pilot, to customize your BattleMech’s loadout and electronic systems to fulfill the role you want to take.

SCAM!

You can read me being critical of the game earlier in this very thread, should you have gone to all the trouble of clicking on my name and looking at the most recent page of posts I've made- but I guess that was too hard for you. Apparently it's also unacceptable for me to make fun of two people who have been raging at each other all day about whether or not an internet tough guy wants his money back because the game isn't exactly what he wanted. You clearly have called my bluff, I work for PGI's PR department, and you deduced this on the excellent basis of me calling someone out for being a windbag because they think we have even one single damn to give about whether or not they uninstall the game, or are unhappy with their founders pack. Excellently done, Mr. Holmes.

3PV is exactly as I speculated it might be. I see no issue with it at all. None. It gives you a situational and marginal advantage and definitely isn't ideal for most combat situations. Case closed and anxieties put to rest for me.

Thank you Gallowglas. I have not tried it but I respect your assessment. For the others, don't cry about it like it's the end of the world.

There's going to be a mixed queue and a 1PV only "hardcore" queue.

Barely anyone will play it, ELO won't work when people do play it due to such a small playerbase, and PGI will say "no one used it so we're combining the queues together. Sorry, but that was our position at the time."

If there are so many people opposed to 3PV don't you think all those people will be playing "hardcore" mode? What queues? I will more than likely be playing 1PV only.

This is the thing that is confusing me about the anti 3PV brigade. If so many people are against it, wont they all be in the FPV queue? At that point why do they care?

Simple Answer, cause they use their Manpower on NOT IMPORTANT things.......

Or do you Prefer to have a 3PV in a lagging, freezing Game who has no Lobby and Tonnage Limits?

So?

It is not as if they can target me.

And Seismic is the same thing. I see the ping over the hill but I can't target it. Yes, there is an Awesome over there. Guess what, he knows where the Atlas or soemthing is with the blinking red light as well.

Adding 3PV didn't take much work, and there was only a single person on it. They essentially just enabled Cryengine's already existing 3PV and the drone model. Not much else.

If they do go with 3PV I hope they have an option for FPV only matches. I felt 3PV ruined MW4 especially before they fixed the fire-through-hills-bug with the Novacat.

They are having FPV only matches in a separate queue as "hardcore" mode. Most of the argument is about splitting the community or fears that they will merge the queues in the future.

Gave 3PV a try... but until they fix the "fast" mechs bug, which somehow even affects my heavies, it's nearly impossible for me to play the game. Was feeling sick seconds later. Beside, the lack of a mini-map is too much of a disavantage IMO, and seismic seems to be non-existent in 3PV.

If it's game breaking? Not much, although it's indeed possible to see significantly more than in 1PV.

The major issue to me is that it does not help understanding torso twist as advertised. We mostly just stare at the back and head of a mech, waist up, unless in a light where we can see its legs. In what way would that help new players? I found it even more confusing as it looks like the mech is moving sideways but no indication that it's due to the torso not aligning with the legs!

Oh, and loved the drone.

I would like to see 3PV added as a free module. You can swap between 1st and 3rd given the current limitations on 3pv.
If you have a new account the drone glows green and can't be destroyed.
If you have an account over a month or two old(or that has accumulated say 20 hours of playtime) the drone glows red and can be destroyed just like a UAV.

If it has these limitations I think it would be fine to add it to the game without splitting the community.
1) It would give a free low to middle end module for new players to toy with and to help learn the game.

2) It would then be a trade off for the more competitive player to choose to have that view over other module based advantages. And after playing with it, I can see how I might choose it given certain roles (a close in brawler with no jj or a scout with 3 or more slots) but on many of my mechs I'd rather have other modules.

3) For any older account it's then a risk reward to use it sparingly in the match so it won't be destroyed and it can give away your position.

Yeah, I'd hate to see that. IMHO it'd ruin the game. :)

PGI needs to make up its mind whether MW:O is a Mech sim or a shooter.

If it is determined to be a shooter, then short shelf life.

What segment of the player population is PGI going for? I'm confused.
