I have read that 3pv will deploy a drone and let others know your presence. what if the drone can be shot down and 3PV is disabled for the match. or 30-60 seconds.

It makes 3PV more like a free UAV with unlimited duration, but is vulnerable.

One option is to let players buy upgrades for the 3pv drone for cbills and MC so it can take 60-120 point of damage. perhaps or reduce re-spawn time... or both

This should address 1PV vs. 3PV balance issues.

Something like this could enhance the information warfare aspect of the game.
modules that modify the drone for re-spawn time/ range/ vision type/ vertical clearance.

I think the MWO community should voice there opinion, but also embrace it and see where it could add some fun for the hard core player.

Ya that would be alright, but that goes against the purpose of 3PV to help noobs (apparently) and if you take away that vision then there is no point in having it in the first place. As far as CB goes it would also go against what they've already been doing streamlining the whole CB thing at the end of a match.

If its for helping new player ok but players will rely on 3pv and not use it to check on leg direction. so it should be used for short durations... sometime i would love to have a 3pv and see what i'm stuck on. but if it starts to be used in open combat for an advantage such as a spider on a hill in 3PV can see a huge area of the map and communicate opfor positions with impunity.] something needs to balance it.

CB and MC are for enhanced versions only and just suggestions for enhancing the drone, but i think modules would be best for that and be part of the info warfare meta. 3PV combat drone with tag... perhaps.

It should take up a module slot and only be free for the duration of the cadet bonus. After that, 20k xp and 6 mil bills to buy the module again. You can see stuff you can't see in 1PV, that's a HUGE advantage. Mechs you can't see with 1PV shouldn't render at all. This would balance it a lot.

I asked this to the devs in the current ATD: last post last page. Please vote if you want pgi to discuss this with us. I figure even if it doesn't get the votes some1 in pgi still has to read it.
