My assumption was that Sarah's mech would be a new Jenner variant. Already having the founder Jenner I spent the MC on a new slot and bought a K variant. This would, I thought, give me three variants and allow me to master the class. But it looks like Sarah's mech is stacking with my founders? Clarification?

Its the same mech as the founders, or at least stacks with it. So it wont count as a new mech towards mastering Jenners for you.

Its in the faq here: http://mwomercs.com/...sked-questions/

Unfortunately this is why I didn't buy one. I like the fact it is for a worth cause but since I own a founders Jenner, it becomes a redundant purchase and one I will never use.

If it would have even been the K variant I would have bought it just to support the charity.

I didn't do it for myself I bought mine cause a 5 year old lost her life to cancer that played that mech and loadout. I play assault mechs but I bought it to help out with cancer that took that girls life. And it is more then a just a mech it is a memorial on legs. I didn't knew her in anyway till I tried MWO few days ago and the tale brought me to tears cause it was sad. And also my Aunt died to liver cancer a few months ago and my family members friend to lung cancer. These are illnesses that is like a jack in a box moment it pops in your face with a 50% survival chance it seems.

Also my grandpa's friend died to prostate cancer a few years ago.

I now have two Jenners, and they're both JR7-D variants (Founders and Sarah). Knew it before I spent the money and don't see it as an issue. I got to support a charity and I got a Jenner with a loadout I actually enjoy piloting (I've even altered my Founders Jenner to be similar except with SRM-4s instead of Streaks). I figure I can use the 10% XP bonus to level up the JR7-D then if I ever decide to pilot a Jenner after that I can go with the Founders one to earn extra C-Bills in the process.

yeah it's fairly cheap looks awesome and supports a great cause. Plus you can run them different I use my founders D with 4 mediums srm4 and jets.

Sarah's I left stock with the 4 mediums, bap and double streaks with no jets. Both are fun to play.

Agreed. While it does support a great cause, it wouldve been better if it was a unique variant. More people wouldve bought it then which wouldve been better for the charity.

Then buy it and don't use it. It's not like it takes up space- it comes with its own mechbay.

I sold my other Jenner -D so that I would only have one. But either way, I would have bought the Sarah Jenner.

It was only $10, and it all goes to charity.

No brainer as far as I'm concerned.

And so far, it's raised over $90K.

That means that over 9 thousand people didn't mind that it wasn't a distinctive variant.

I will keep mine forever.

No offense, But this mech wasn't about you,me,someone else it was to pay tribute to a fallen mechwarrior that cancer killed her at 5 years old. 5 years old she had a long live ahead of her and the cancer cut it short. Real death and game death is two different things game death your always brought back from the dead to play again, Real death is permanent and you don't get to come back. You can have cancer right now and you don't know it till it pops in your face then you meet your own demise and who gets to honor you? Who will remember you? Will anyone want to pilot your mech?

If we're being perfectly candid here, truth be told, when Sarah's Mech was first announced, I thought it would be a new variant. That said, I like what we got, I really do. It does make more sense to have Sarah's Jenner actually be the Jenner variant that she loved the most, does it not?
And for those wondering, yes, the D(S) is my main mech right now, and will continue to be a major part of my mech force for as long as I play this game, even if it's not the mech I'm best in (I'm having to learn SRMs/SSRMs strictly to play her mech).
