We need it to combat the bugged spider. Please, just "fix" the raven legs back to where they were to even the field against those bugged spiders.

Yeah, no. Don't undo fixes to counter bugs, fix the bugs so that everything is actually working right.

To be honest I am trying my hardest to figure out what is up with the Spiders.

When I am piloting them, I don't seem to have the major survivability that others do, at least not on anything except my 5D. Also sometimes they go down fast other times they seem invincible which makes me think there is something more going on than just hit detections.

Just last night for example, I had a Spider come straight at my 6 ML Jenner. I managed 2 full alphas to the CT, one at point blank range. That is 60 points of damage which should have killed him easily, yet I didn't even managed to punch through his armor, much less damage his internals. The same night, a AC/40 Jaggy One Hit my undamaged Spider from a CT hit.

Something really odd here, maybe it has to do with the players ping.

There is simply something wrong with the spider hitbox. I mean if you look at its design, the legs should be extremely vulnerable. On top of that, I have found that jump jetting mechs tend to take more leg hits than non jump jetting mechs. This mech should be getting legged constantly. And yet, it almost always takes an obscene amount of firepower to finish off.

That's because you've got a ridiculously low chance of actually hitting it. You can unload full alphas at a spider running directly at you and not hit. Somethings definitely wrong with it, but god alone knows when they're actually going to get around to fixing it. I wish they'd just take it out until they could figure out what is wrong with it. The smart 4's are running multiple LRM boats with a Spider spotter. If you get caught out of cover you're basically screwed. Can't kill the spotter, can't get to cover quickly enough.

Sure, make my Catapults invisible while you are at it.

That's silly. They never were so we cannot bring it back. Let's keep this realistic.

My point is that after 6 months they still have not fixed the spider. They could just "undo" the raven nerf so we can field something that can be a dedicated spider killer. Kind of level the playing field. Should be quick to implement since they took the time to fix it last year.

As is the thread.

2 bugged mechs is not better than 1.

I'd only fix the Raven's legs to be better than what it is now.. but still worse than it was before.

However... you're not going to convince anyone to buff the Raven to "fix" the Spider. It simply doesn't work that way.

Were the Raven's legs ever bugged in the first place? Honestly, the only wonky part of the Raven hitboxes was/is the side torsos extending along the bottom half of the beak (allowing for a lot of damage spreading).

not when a stillstanding spider, right before it starts walking straight backwards, gets an alphastrike of 1ac20 and 4 medlasers "in yo face"... and an ac 20 shortly after. and all it does is turn yellow on the whole mech....they are bugged. in the same match i oneshot legged a raven at full speed with the ac20,just btw...

Nah just bring back the 12x splash damage for SRMs on small targets. Splatcat will now be called the bugzapper.

Fix a bug by introducing another bug? Well, I hope you do not work with medical devices or nuclear reactors. :(
