seriously. There is nothing ruining your game more right now that invincible spiders. I just watched 1 spider take down 2 ravens and a yen-low because he literally took no damage beyond his armor turning yellow. He just ran around legging everyone.

Disallow the use of spiders until you get your [act] together PGI. Please, for the love of god.

There is something wrong with spiders indeed .. and don't think speed is a issue.. I can deal pretty easily with any commando, raven, jenner..but these spiders..hell..it's pain in the ***...there is noway to hit them..even my streaks are sometimes not hitting at all.. not sure if this is supposed to be even possible ;)

I will agree to this if you agree to turn off PPC.

Pretty sure that it is an issue with the hit box becoming unmarried to the mech.

Me and my brother ran a few tests he on his spider and me on my raven. It seems the spiders hitbox sits lower on the mech then it should. I was shooting at the upper leg of the spider and hitting shoulders. As well as completely missing with a PPC while we did a circle strafe test. This got even worse when he pumped his jump jets. shooting just slightly below the feet on a JJ caused his chest to take damage.

While playing in a match I used these shot adjustments to actually leg a spider. He shut down after an overheat ((Running 2 medium lasers and a LL on tourlmine I shot his other foot point blank with me PPC while he was shut down and watched his shoulder flicker.

How many times did you run that test though? Because I'm thinking the hitbox moves all over because I've seen the opposite happen. One time I was shooting a spider with 2LL for a couple of minutes and on my screen I was hitting mostly torsos (center height) and it did almost nothing. Then I aimed shoulder level and even though that caused me to miss a bit more (due to him falling under the beam a little bit) it started registering leg damage on him. And even though I had shot mid torso more it actually register more leg damage than it did torso damage (but only after I shot higher). Which to me made no sense at all.

Lights in general are harder to take down than an Atlas or Highlander. Usually the outcome is still the same - they're dead, and I'm missing a limb or cored out. The only difference is that a fight with an assault last 20 seconds where a fight with a good light pilot can take a few minutes.

spiders really are quite broken. they def do not take damage like they should.
cannot hit them reliably enough to do damage and at this point you cannot knock them down either. they are entirely too bold because they know they can exploit the above mentioned shortcomings.

please fix them ASAP, it is getting ridiculous out there.

I agree, fix spiders or turn them off. It shouldn't really need to be explained why an unhittable target is unacceptable in a shooter.

No. You're going to have to pry my cold dead corpse from my black and yellow spider. :(

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Even PGI has acknowledged the fact that there is no hit detection on spiders.

Your pathetic ego is hilarious, thinking it is just aim. lol. You're going to be in for a surprise if they ever fix it and you start to cry because you can't live longer than a few seconds.

Now kidding. They even buffed SRM damage to "compensate" like that somehow makes it better when missiles still register 0 damage on them.

All I have to add is that I 3watched two spiders dance around each other (both were very damaged and the only mechs left) for several minutes tonight. It was terrible.

Invincible spiders, annoying yes but

Not nearly as bad as those ******** who ran around in Raven 3L's last January who were literally immune to missiles and couldn't be shot b/c of even worse hit registration than we have now.

It's a myth. I get hit all the time while piloting my spiders. If your mighty alpha doesn't destroy a spider chances are it was not a perfect convergence: not all your weapons hit or they didn't hit at the exact same part of the mech.

Yeah, you can dodge a lot of shots in a spider, not as easy as it's look though and doing reasonable damage is much harder than on most mechs.

Assault mechs' tears are collected to make coolshots, it is known.

Yes ECM missile immunity, and used streaks to spam fire almost every mech in the game until died from CT coring.

I hit spiders just fine and get hit fairly hard when I pilot my spider. Latency, aiming, and shooting at the most slender mech profile in game are likely the largest part of the issue.
I've played a combined 670 matches across the different spider variants, I'm fairly certain they're not invulnerable, or even overpowered.

There seem to be some issues with the mech this patch I agree, but it's also inconsistent.
