Lol, asking you and yours to follow me was never my intent, sorry, I should have been more clear. I figured it seemed pointless to have two separate incarnations of Grimm Wulf running around, so my thought was more along the lines of setting up a pair of factions with you overseeing your people and me mine, with decisions affecting both sides made by both. I don't really understand how you mean work together outside that, lol. If that's disagreeable as well then I guess gl and look forward to shooting you in the face. :D
As for life, that's been treating me as well as ever, wouldn't wanna be just about anyone but myself. Except Batman, I would definitely be Batman if I could. Yourself?

Um, that would still be two seperate incarnations of GWR running. Besides, I don't play well with others, esp those that can't adapt. Those who can't adapt, die.

Not quite, instead of competing against one another we'd be pooling resources. I figured before I start looking elsewhere I may as well see who from Grimm Wulf in any incarnation was interested in playing together. I realize however that since both sides have run separately for so long that simply trying to mash the two differing heirarchies and structures together is unfeasible, so the most painless way to merge would be to start with a pair of factions or what have you, TW leading one and I the other, with players from either being welcome to play together. Decisions affecting the entire clan would be resolved with each factions opinion given equal weight, which while I don't feel would be an issue because I consider myself to be a reasonable, laid-back person, but someone both sides agreed on could always be appointed a position that'd allow for a swing vote if needed.

I do agree that those who can't adapt, die, so I have to wonder why you're pushing for the status quo. :(

it doesnt matter what i think , I wont make the call weather we will or not, the core members on our side will decied as a team, if they wanna try it, then yes, if they dont then no, its pretty simple really

from what I have heard you wont be able to start your own groups anyway, and will have to work with a major house or some crap like that, so all this is just talk anywho..

Now im going back to STO and putting all this crap on the back burner till i hear from the others, not gonna worry about joining or working with who ever in a game that isnt out yet..lol

I know Thunder is above that....he dont roll like that. I would give the game time to develope, and let this lay for now.

Exactly.

We yet do not know exactly how this will play out. So only time will tell how things will work. So everyone be patient.

Fair enough Thunderwolf, that sounds like a splendid plan. :( In the meantime I think it's time for some archaeology, see if I can't dig up some more fossils.

Did I? I meant mountain hobbits I swear. I figure without a decent mech game in the last decade all the old Zone players retreated to their caves stroking their MechWarrior 3 and 4 cds calling them Precious. :D

Speak for yourself, I still own and play pretty much every game I enjoyed growing up in one form or another. Most recently it's been Road Rash 2 for the Genesis, Metal Slug for NeoGeo, and Final Fantasy Tactics for PS1. ^_^ I have Mechwarrior 3 somewhere and I'll get around to that again at some point too, lol.

meh, only thing I still play from the hay day of gaming is MW4 ( mw3 wont work worth a crap on win 7, I may have hated mw3 multiplayer but i loved the single player ) Mech Commander 2

*edit* I hated mw3 MP on the zone, but on a local, its was way fun

Yes but if I remember correctly (and please correct me if I'm wrong), the reason you hated MW3 on the Zone was due to lag - have you ever played over today's high speed internets with a bunch of other guys that have it too? I'd bet lag would be next to nonexistent. :) And for MW4, I've actually been screwing around with the free edition of it mektek released recently - I don't know if it was the advent of Mercs but they actually got around to addressing most all of my issues with that game.

I just hated lag shooting, I mean I was ok at it, my time in the 13th made sure of that, i just like being able to aim at my target, ( unless its a ballasitc weapon, but thats just leading not lag...lol ) what really pissed me off about it was the fact that I had High speed at the time but every one else had dial up, they lagged all over the place but i was easy pickens...lol

Ill be honest I never really liked the look of MW4 over mw3, but being able to aim.. was just to much to pass, that and weapon slots, good by laggy *** 14 er small striders...lol

And for all that by the time MekTek released Mercs for free it was just as bad, rofl. I downloaded it the other day and within a couple hours of tinkering was running around with 7 ER Large on a mech, or my personal ridiculous favourite that wasn't even possible in Mechwarrior 3, an Annihilator with 2 UAC20's and 2 LBXAC20's for use in HOLA matches. Or a Marauder 2 with a devastating 142 point alpha strike from 600m including a friggin Rail Gun. If I'd known they'd eventually let me do that I might have actually stuck with the game. :s Ah well, I just grabbed myself a Wii and did some serious work on it so now it works as 11 consoles in one, so been having fun with that.
