I have saw many post about somebody whom registering first are not getting the BETA keys, instead somebody who just register / register later got the BETA keys, are the BETA players are drawn randomly?

There is a criteria for getting into the beta, we don't know what that criteria is, but we do know it has nothing to do with post count/join date.

Criteria may change from round to round, and part of what they are testing is hardware/driver compatibility. You might not have what they are looking for in one round, and be exactly what they want in the next. But with 100k or so of to choose from, many of us will never get selected.

my main concern with getting picked is my lack of posting. i peruse posts, learn from them, weigh my opinions against them, and find that most of what i'd say has been said at one point or another so i rarely post. i certainly hope it's not based on forum activity.

I don't think it's based on your forum activity, i hear some people even never create any topics / post something but get selected for BETA.

If you think about it enough, you'll figure out that it would be pretty silly to invite players based on their post count. Forum warriors may not necessarily make the best MechWariors. ;)

;) Nope, when one of the wave of keys went out there was a couple of people talking about the beta with VERY low posts...they posted in the wrong forums......Or, they were just teasing/trolling and didn't actually get into beta.. Who knows

My experience in previous betas tell me that theres a pretty simple rule to figuring out if you will get in.

Start at 0

Add 1 for yes.
Are you currently really into another game?
Do you just apply to every beta you see regardless of what its for?
Do you regularly quit betas after a couple of days?

Add 1 for no.
Do you remember you even signed up for the beta?
Are you actually able to play right now?
Can your computer run the game at all?

The higher you score the more assuredly you will get an invite.

Just make around 5 alts with no posts only filled information and you'll get to beta. At lest it worked for a lot of people. ;)

forum activity is not a factor, so don't worry about that. Just sit tight, and keep your fingers crossed ;)
