Anyone else feel that lrms are really not that good. Or subpair to other weapons. I mean with current ecm mechs shielding half there team, combined with low damage output. And making less credits... Whats the point. Eather 2 things need to happen. Ecm needs to be Greatly fixed... Or LRMs should do more damage or to target. To reward ecm break for the split sec it isnt working... Just something. They still a bit broken right now. Just make them not as boatable (more slots) but do more damage. IMO

They did something with them this last patch...nothing in the notes but they're just not as effective as the week before, it seems.

Lrms were causing more damage than the devs realized so last patch they were adjusted.
Having been killed many many times by swarms of missles from lrm boats while trying to reach cover, even with ams, I'd really like lrms to stay about where they are now. Of course I'm comparing this to TT where lrms are used in more of a support role.

Increase the spread, remove splash, up the damage to compensate.

A couple LRM5's or just 1 LRM10 was actually a lot more decent in Closed Beta than they are now, which are next to useless with ECM fantasy shields and the damage increase for AMS.

As a scout I love a good LRM boat! You guys are awesome!
If you have a lock and will be keeping it tell your LRM guy in team what to target. They will love you right back!

You know it is darn hard to say. It feels like there was a bit of a stealth nerf to LRMs since last patch but it could be my imagination. However that is the issue with stealth nerfs, they are hard to detect.
WoT was the king of Stealth nerfs that to this day they will not admit so I definately wouldn't put it past PGI to do the same thing because lets face it, if we can only guess about it happening, it generates alot less discord.

Took my dusty Catapults out for a spin and it feels the same to me. LRMs are still not mech-killers but they do soften up targets and sometimes finish off that crit-CT enemy trying to run away. It's about as balanced as it has ever been.
Currently playing the brawler role and friendly LRMs are most welcomed (when used properly).

You realize tagging an ecm mech lets you lrm it?
