You incorrectly represented the Hero and Champion mechs, they are not really any better than the Cbill mechs except in 2 instances which is the Heavy Metal (Highlander) and Flame (Dragon) only based on the better hardpoint placement and there are other cbill mechs which offer the same options for free. You also didn't note that the game is still in Beta and will be seeing the addition of many new features within the next few months.

I appreciate what you are saying, but there are playable "classes" that are available that are only purchasable with real word currency. In my opinion that is not acceptable in a F2P game. I stated that they were "powerful" and that all mechs were viable. I did not misrepresent the premium content.

Also the video title states that the game is currently in beta.

I feel I am honest and balanced in my analysis of the game, and that the video sheds the game in a positive light over all.

Thanks for watching, and thanks for the feedback

so wrong on so many levels. Pretty Baby, Deathknell are Pay2win? Please. Devs wanted to break the mold of those mechs by issuing new variants with hardpoints said mech never usually hold. Nothing pay2win there. A bad pilot will be just as bad.

If the Hero mech's are not acceptable then how about premium time? I did not hear that point in the vid.

Now you are putting words in to my mouth, I did not mention pay to win at all, I said that anything that effects gameplay that cannot be purchased with in game currency is not ideal.

In my opinion, the only items that should be available exclusively with premium currency are cosmetic items. I have stated so in every first impressions video of a F2P game I have done and my video specifically about micro-transactions in general.

Ah, good point. I neglected to mention the Premium Time, also I could have assessed the Pilot Lab more, just briefly mentioned it. Cheers mate.

The Hero mechs are NOT superior... like, at all. Especially the Death's Knell. That thing is so inferior that it hurts. Champion mechs are REGULAR variants that have bonuses attached and happen to be put together well out of the gate... nothing is stopping you from aping the configuration.

You should have said that hero mechs are DIFFERENT, but not better. "You can purchase every mech variant with C-Bills, which are the in-game currency, as well as MC Credits, which is the real-money currency. The only exception to this are the Hero mechs, which are unique variants that are not necessarily better than the other variants, but they do behave differently. Champion mechs are pre-customized regular variants with a bonus attached to them in the form of extra experience points."

The Death Knell is a Commando, so obviously that's just a coffin on legs!

I said they were 'powerful' not superior and I stand by my opinion that in game items that effect gameplay should not be exclusively available to those with premium currency.

okay! Sorry, my bad. In a way what you say makes sense, but I think PGI is not generating enough money through MC transactions and need to create incentives to make people buy MC. It's not ideal, but it's giving unfair advantages either...

At the Very start of your video you made it SOUND like Champion & Hero mechs are Pay to Win. Your words were "there are perimum mechs are qite poweraful and the only way to perchase those is by sending real life money. That is not cool!" (Time Mark 1:21-1:32)

Cash only Mechs:
Hero Mechs: 30% C-Bill Boost at the end of a Match
Champion Mechs: 10% XP boost at the end of a Match
Founder Mechs: 25% C-Bill Boost at the end of a Match (No Longer available)
Phoenix Mechs: 30% C-Bill Boost & 10% Loyalty(no in game yet) Boost at the end of the Match. (These Mech will start coming in to the game starting Oct 15.)

Founder & Phoenix also use a Different Model in game VS Non-Cash version. (Cosmetic only), Other than the above boost they have the same hard points as the C-Bill Version.

Hero are custom Units but are balanced the same as all other mechs

Champion Mechs are the Same as the Non-Champion version(aka C-Bill version) for Hard Point (AKA you can Make the same weapon layout of a Champion mech on the Non-Champion version of it)

I feel a lot of people would prefer to just lay down £15-£20 on a game like this rather than have the whole F2P model in the first place. Natural Selection, for example, is a moderately priced online multiplayer only shooter. I think this model would work out better for everyone. Maybe they could have trial mechs only until you buy in to it to still generate a bit of interest.

Also I don't like the ******** premium currency in F2P games in general, it distorts prices somewhat and you always end up with like 35 left over and the cheapest thing is like 100. So you've got to buy 600 to pick up that item, which is off putting. Banner Saga Factions did well by listing the actual real currency cost next to each item, and there was no minimum spend, so you knew exactly how much you were laying down. I'm surprised more games haven't done this.

Anyway, really like the game and do feel the video sheds the game in an overall positive light. It's got us three more players minimum anyway if my twitter account is anything to go by! :D

Thanks for watching mate, and thanks for the chat! :)

I've watched alot of your material and by and large enjoy what you do. However this time i think you could have done better. Poor word choice and a lack of general knowledge of the game (no mention of the comming CW as an example) really drag this one down and i have to admit i had a little chuckle at the use of the word "powerfull" in regards to the hero mechs. Other than that not bad at all.

Cheers mate, thanks for the constructive criticism. I admit there is some ambiguity early in the video and I apologise for not being 100% clear. I will likely be revisiting the game once there are more updates. (Something I plan to do on several of the betas I have covered.)

Thanks again! :)
