Also, I'm 3/4's through filling up my basket on Pick A Brick, and it's at £100.58 so far. Bear in mind the design has 1488 pieces.

Yes I know, but being the creator I feel obliged to own it, and I've got the money ready.

It comes up to 28cm tall excluding the antennae, and I think it's going to look very nice on my desk (if it'll fit).

I've just got back home now so I'll total up the rest of the pieces and post back soon with the official price!

but.... that's.... gonna be like OVER $200.00 USD when done.

And I think more boggling is the piece count. (and that legos don't come with spares, so lose just one brick........)

£134.07, with the below pieces not available on Pick A Brick, but should most definitely be available on the Piece Recovery option, which I know doesn't make sense.

https://service.lego...arts/#BasicInfo

These pieces are currently out of stock on the Piece Recovery shop:

1 x 619221 BOWED ROOF RIDGE 2X4X1 - Bright Red

2 x 4225921 BRICK 2X2 Ø4.85 VERTIC. SNAP - Bright Red

Luckily I already own those three pieces, and so the extras come to £9.56.

That gives a total price of £143.63, with those two pieces aside.

The prices of Lego products have never seemed to stop increasing in price for as long as I've lived, and now it's just ridiculous.

Anyway, I feel I deserve to treat myself for my birthday.

They haven't, and it's nice that you linked that UCS X-wing because...

UCS X-Wing 2013 Version: $170 USD
UCS X-Wing 2000 Version: $150 USD (Adjusted for 13 years of inflation -> $204 USD)

Great job. :( I was lego lover when i was younger. I remember i tried to build Vulture but did not have the right parts so i was able to do only the torso and cockpit, with arms and legs I had to improvise.

I have to say that I'm a softy for the Dragons, and my (by far) most used mech is the Flame variant. I'm going to be greedy and ask if your model has a way to modify the left torso so that a ballistic could be added there instead. But hey, if not, no big loss! I would love to have the files so that i could play with the colors myself, as well as order the pieces to biuld this beast!

As for ballistics, you have mentioned the AC/10 already, which is what my current build is using. I do not often see the Dragons in-game using 'small' guns, so I'd say that you could create an Ultra AC/5 and a Guass Rifle as the other two. How would you make a large laser/Er large laser look?

I've been a bit busy lately, but tomorrow I'll get on to finishing any little things like the Gauss, Ultra AC/5, left shoulder ballistic and ER/Pulse Lasers. Then I'll hopefully be able to submit the design to Cuusoo to sort of patent it in a way, as I wouldn't really like it if someone posted the file and claimed it was their creation. So once it's up on Cuusoo, I'll let you guys play with the file if you so wish, and possibly treat yourself with a £140 purchase! I sent a message to NGNG about my model 'cause I know they like the community art, but that was over a week ago... (sad panda).

I hope the process of designing this model has been as much fun for me as it has for you guys, but inevitably, it's going to descend into the depths of the Fan Art sub forum, and so as a second to last post, I'd like to ask if any of you still have any requests or suggestions for my design. I'm all ears!

I know I said I'd try and create other weapons such as the Gauss Rifle and such, and I'm so thankful for everyone's contributions and support, but I think I'm going to move on to other projects now.

I submitted this to Cuusoo yesterday, so when they confirm it's okay to start receiving support I'll post a link, and I'll try contacting NGNG again to try and get some support for it as it would be amazing to see it for sale: the 1% I'll receive for each order isn't really that important, I just want to see Lego 'mechs!

While I'm not a huge fan of the Dragon, this is beautiful! I hope that we do get to see Lego BattleMechs. I would totally sink money into buying an Atlas or a Highlander like this. :)

Leave a link to your new project here, i will follow it. By the way did you contact LEGO company if your project can go to official production or how it works? It would be great to buy LEGO MWO Mechs in shops.

Wonder how many pieces it would take to build an atlas, at guy in cockpit scale, i'd think it would end up being 24"(~66cm) tall. Utterly massive.

Well, I supported it on Cuusoo, and am in the process of getting every TFOL and AFOL I know to support it.

May I have the .lxf file now? Please?
