Just as a general question, if you can remember anyway!

How many times do you fight the same sets of players over an average game session?

I'm not looking for specific metrics, just stories about how you feel the pool of players has been and whether or not you feel like you see the same people over and over again, or end up dropping with or against those mechwarriors too frequently.

I see many of the same players, quite often.

Doesn't worry me much though. Just makes me think ELO is working in some form. Playing at odd hours can factor in as well.

Yeah this happens quite regularly. I'd say in about 30% of matches I see one name from the previous match.

Like the poster above me though, it kinda proves ELO is working in some respect. I also find it nice that the community is small enough you can come across the same good players on a regular basis.

ELO working?

Every one of my matches ends in a 12-0 or 12-2 stomp for either side.

When I play at off hours (3-5am PST) I tend to get into cycles where I see a lot of the same players in sequential matches. Other than that, can't say I see a lot of the same people multiple times. I have pretty awful name recognition as well so as far as remembering people across multiple days of play, I have no idea if I'm grouping with / against the same folks often.

Gote 1000 and his crew wreck my face pretty often.

I almost never see the same player twice.

I'll encounter the same player in batches, i.e. I was playing a few months ago and for *hours*, a player named "Department of Human Resources" was in almost every round.
It might just be that at the end of the round, everyone's clicking "launch" at the same time

So often that about 20% of the time someone on the enemy team is from my guild / clan.

I usually remember the insta leavers.

I remember a guy named "D4ve", awfull, he always leaved the game as it started.

Yesterday, I played with a friend of mine, we encountered the same kurita lance two times LOL (that games were owned, 12-0 or 12-2 for my team xD).

Happens a lot. Shows how small the playerbase is. If pgi keeps at it, I think we'll be seeing a lot more familiar faces by launch.
