An ancient gtx 285 that costs 50$ second hand can run this game at 40fps on max all day long. So no excuse.
And those $50 would put me out of a chance at finishing college, not to mention I'd have to get a completely brand new computer/laptop to even be able to use it, as my current laptop has only an integrated card, so that's closer to $1000 to upgrade to even remotely playable framerates. Guess what, some gamers are **** poor. I'm sure this may come as a surprise to some people, since all of you are apparently literally made of money from what I've seen. Anyone who says "you have no excuse for being too poor to throw money at non-essentials" needs to shut their face and keep it shut. And to preempt the inevitable "stop being lazy and get a job" comment because apparently most people don't understand how life works.

The c-bill nerf is ridiculous. I'm making less money now and killing even more. Absurd.

Sneak peak at the August 20 patchnotes suggests they've heard your complaints, and will be reducing c-bills by 10% for all light, medium, and heavy mechs.

I dont doubt the sincerity in your response or for not understanding why it is relevant.

You know I'm talking about captures taking longer to complete, right?

My personal concern is a drastic reduction of FPS. For myself, that is not going to make playing the game much fun. Ran 7 FPS, and that's on lowest settings, and spending for a new card isn't in this MW's budget.

I myself suffered a 6 to 8 FPS drop with the 8 extra mechs in game.

I find myself averaging 10 FPS now. Before 12vs12 I suffered at worse 16 FPS. Though some maps like Valley and Alpine my FPS averaged (before 12vs12) 18 to 20 FPS.

My suggestion:
The original small maps - 8vs8 - they were a perfect size for it.
The large maps: Alpine, Tourmaline, and (gag) Terra Therma make them 12vs12.

us with good computers shouldn't have to worry about those with weaker systems

hey man, we appreciate the fact that your going to college to better yourself and you still find time for mwo. however most of us don't run pentium ll 300's anymore and we would like the game and graphics be pushed to the max. it would be nice though if there was a better sliding scale so people with low end computers could play better. but there has to be a point where people understand that their comps just don't cut the mustard for new games you know?
anyways i hope you find a way to enjoy the game still :(

You seem great at public relations and would be an excellent fit, can you forward your resume to HR? You truly know how to grow a community.

One of the torso missile slots on the HGN 733C has been changed to a 1 tube. Any reason for this or is it a bug?

But why would I need more xp in MWO?

To spend MC on, to buy GXP, to rush-level new mechs and buy module levels.

If you want to push the graphics to the max, that's what the high graphics settings are for. As of now, the low graphic settings provide a marginal benefit at best (marginal being slightly less unplayable, but that's not saying much when you consider 10FPS playable). And for the record, MWO is actually the first game I've played that isn't perfectly serviceable at minimum settings (mainly played stuff like TF2, which I get great framerate on at max settings, though I don't think that's saying much anymore).

I like the idea of 12 v 12 but for now I think the game has become unplayable for me. Averaging about 8 fps and that's on all settings now set to Low. Hoping for a better optimisation of Cryengine3 and on my part...saving for an upgrade, ugh !! that could take awhile :( Lil old New Zealand is a loooong way from those PGI servers.

PGI about a week ago: We're going to give lights and mediums more ways to contribute and reward them for doing their roles.

PGI today: We've made it harder to cap.

I think their idea for the Lights and Mediums contributing more was a long range goal. Plus you had so many whiners begging them to up the cap timers.

Hopefully they will throw Lights (except for Spiders) and Mediums a bone in the next couple of patches.

CApping is part of the game but many frown on capping as a sole tactic to win.

Agreed, considering most decent graphics cards are under 50 bucks now.

I have to agree about the FPS drop. Before I had settings maxed and was getting around 42 fps. After the 12v12 patch I've had to reduce settings to mostly medium with a few set to low and now get between 20 - 40 fps on average (really jumps around depending what's on screen). It still sometimes drops below 20 but at least it's mostly playable. Maybe when DX11 comes along we'll get some frames back.

12v12 doesn't seem any better or worse to me, other than the fps drop. I've had most matches end with 3 or 4 mechs left on the winning side; so not as many one sided stomps as I was expecting. At the moment I would prefer 8v8 mostly for the more stable frame rate and the fact that it feels less chaotic and therefore requires a little more strategic thinking.

Honestly, what was wrong with 8v8? I don't see why PGI was so focused on 12v12 coming out. After playing some more games I feel like I liked 8v8 better and then if you factor in the massive fps drop, things were way better before the patch. I've gone from 60 fps to 40 fps but when I get hit in the face with a PPC it causes me to drop to like 4 fps for a couple of seconds.

Obviously not every dev can tackle every problem but with a list like that, I'm sure whoever wasted their time on this could've been fit into some other tasking just fine.

dont forget all the wasted man-hours on 3pv...something that no one wants

My ping has doubled. Gauss rounds look like BB's now. Tera Therma 12 v 12 is meh, that map needs help.

12 v 12 will take some getting used to for sure, we need weight restrictions more than ever

I've got SLI'd 780 SC ACX's - where's my option for ultra-high settings *********?
