I assume that the new Cap times for single units is PGI's answer instead of installing turrets and Minefields to make it harder to cap.

I always have found conquest to be lack luster at best. Even with the insight of a potentially more "profitable" round, I'd rather make less and do something more enjoyable... Like the one other game mode...

Like the new cap speed, but as others have hinted at, I would like to see the "Un-Cap" (reducing the enemy capture bar) speed increased 1.5x though so a comeback would be more possible. As for those light pilots whining that they can no longer zip around all the cap points in 3min then lagshield around the brawl and now must choose to spend time "capturing" or brawl instead? GOOD!

Bump, the cap times are atrocious, raise the point limit to 1000 and make it as fast at it was before.

Grinding the gxp and picking up a cap acelerator, I believe is the intention on them being so slow, on large maps it make light mech very valuble..

Giving lights a more cap centric xp cb bonus rather than damage would also change the way the game gets played

It should be possible for an organised group of mechs to switch the balance of the game. Given they are following the main game mode objective. As was possible with original capture times.

Rules for Conquest should be changed so that killing all one side results in draw unless team has higher score/resources.

P.S. Conquest mode originally needed role warfare to win, now it's brute force and ignorance.

As it is now it's impossible to cap alone. Since you control only 1 mech, you should be able to cap something on your own in less than 2 minutes. We can't say that cap is something do be done in a group, cause there is no guarentee that a team mate will come to help you.
