Ok I got looking at some of my old screen shots and compared them to my new ones and found something rather shocking.

Prior to the patch, when you won a victory, many of your rewards got doubled from the base. For example:

Victory Rewards:

A Kill = 5000, base 2500.
An Assist = 7500, base 3750.
Component Destruction = 2500, base 1250.
Spotting Assist = 2500, base 1250.

Then in a defeat, you earned just the base reward, for example:

Kill = 2500.
Assist = 3750.
Component Destruction = 1250.
Spotting Assist = 1250.

So basically if you won the match, you got a bonus for winning.

Now after the patch, you no longer get a bonus for winning. Rather now you get a deduction for losing.

So basically in addition to them reducing the rewards by 10% which would possibly seem reasonable considering the 12 vs 12 environment, they have re-worked the way rewards are awarded. This is what is causing the massive reduction in rewards, not the changes to the individual reward values.

So the question becomes, was this just a mistake by the devs when they adjust values or did they think we were so stupid we weren't going to figure out they also STEALTH NERFED the way rewards were awarded in the first place??

Note: I can't post screens for some reason as the forum is always bugged for me. I can however email the screens of my old matchs to anyone interested to prove what I am saving. However I expect there is at least one person, who can post screenshots that can look at the reward values on their games and confirm this.

Interesting Vic. Do you have data to back this up?
;) Read our last sentence after I posted.

Conquest and Assault have always had different values, the sky is not falling.

I am comparing Assault to Assault.

Pre-patch kill = 5000 each kill on a victor.

Post-patch kill =

grrr WT Frack.....Now I am looking at another screen shot and the numbers are all out of wack.

A kill netted me 4200 each and I got 6500 for a single Assist.

Now I am thinking there is a bug going on. I need to figure out how to post screen shots some way form or fashion because this isn't making sense.

There's a reasonable reason this would be done.

Namely, with 12 mechs on the field, it's likely you're going to have more assists/kills than you would have in an 8v8, because of the target rich environment.

Keep in mind that if they had left the bonuses as-is, you would now stand to gain up to 50% more c-bills per drop from bonuses. You already stand to gain that much more XP.

I think it was necessary to adjust the values to avoid tanking the economy.

Assists I agree with; kills I do not. Kills are zero-sum. Only one can get the kill, there are four more players on the field to try to take the four opponents, and it's essentially just rewarding less money per 'mech destroyed.

Overall, the longer matches make this a straight-up nerf. Anyone looking at pre/post without taking time into account is doing it wrong.

Ok I am taking back what I said.

I got something wrong with the figures based on another post so what I originally posted isn't making sense to me any more.

I will have to do some investigating to see where I came up wrong.

Not really. You have more guys shooting, so you don't even get to attack everything now. You have to share all the earnings with way more dudes.

It now takes 100 average wins to buy a basic atlas.
