Yes I know mechs get very hot in battle, but fan fiction. It allows you to do what ever you want. People may not like that a atlas is wearing a tutu, but there is an atlas wearing a tutu. I break lore sometimes but i do it in reasonably limits (I wouldn't put a atlas in a tutu). What I am trying to say i would like to wear a body suit like Samus without it making me pass out because of the heat.

I was saying his assumptions were wrong. I've been in the game/lore since the 90's so I am pretty well versed on the history ( outfits, etc.). The devs went down an interesting path in regards to the mechwarrior's uniform, which is a far cry from the some the skimpier ideas that were described an drawn up in the lore. So as you said I think it's safe to assume characters will no be running around topless or in skimpy coolant vests.

And this is not all good. The game is called "MechWarrior", not "BattleMech". Of course, here in the forums we can create our own character, even without a physical appearence

its a small sacrifice to make folks, don't put up lewd drawings of women with camel toes, get a much more diverse player base in the long run. the devs have talked about having a selection of portraits available to choose from, no eta on that, but its much preferable than having the community insulting each other with personal pics of their manhood dressed up as mr peanut.
