UI 2.0 was in development in July according to ATD. And that CW was in design, and development (i'm assuming it means that IS faction picking is in development, and the rest of CW territory ect is in design.)

Meaning the programers and artists were already working on UI2.0 as of July.

MWO is released on September, giving them 2 month now to have been working on it, and another 1 to complete it. Three months total to work on it. UI 2.0 making it by september likely or no?

The UI2.0 is a possibility, but I remember reading somewhere from the devs saying that Faction and CW won't be finished until after release.

Devs said no CW until after release.

UI 2.0 was still in ''late design'' a month ago so it won't be available anytime soon.

CW is being implemented in phases, the first going to Merc Corps, then House Factions then how Lone Wolves will participate in CW. Don't think I've ever seen a timeline for how far one will be released after the other.

I think they said Merc cops would be one of the last phases. House faction being first

Yes its being implemented in phases with the House Factions being the first while Mercs and Lone Wolves would be the last. However they didn't say we would see any of it until it was all finished, they also didn't give any set time frame when the completed product, CW, would be playable.

UI 2.0 will be ready because anything not ready will be part of UI 2.1. UI 2.1 release date will be TBD.

If by ready you mean introduced before it's working properly then yes.

because bryan E has been posting mocks for feedback. and also because UI2.0 wasn't promised 2 months after open beta like CW was.

PGI logic.

Though to be fair to get CW working they have to have UI2.0 in. But still they shouldn't have been knowingly making empty promises. They made ludicrous claims that we were going to get CW Janurary 2013.

Agreed. What we do know is that UI2.0 will be in before CW.

Short answer: No.

Reason: Because PGI.

Serious Answer: UI overhauls require a lot of background work... you have to effectively create your own UI interface from scratch, and then build upon it. If you've ever played 8 or 12 mans, you might see "shaping oddities" on the Ready/Not Ready bars as you go further down the list. The lack of precision and detail could be resolved, but it's probably based on a junk foundation that doesn't play nicely to modification (or PGI is lazy to make the modifications) or it requires a lot more precision that make it a hassle to deal with.

Remember, it took a while before we got "notifications" of a message being received... and it doesn't quite work the way it should (there are little chat oddities/bugs that annoy the heck out of me).

None of this will be ready for launch, when you have to think seriously about the kinds of changes that must take place.

At this point, and I hate to say it, i'm expecting community warfare to be nothing more than a scoreboard for each region, and a second store where you can buy faction exclusive stuff with the new currency, loyalty points.

UI 2.0 or CW will most likely will not be ready at launch, based on the devs evasive response to several direct questions asking about it.

If it's in, great. If not, oh well.

we can all hope they do the right thing instead of the easy thing

there are too many things in this game, which started with great dreams, and then the devs settled for meh. I don't want CW to be one of them.
Pilot trees, the Amazing Graphics, ECM, collisions, founders mechs the list goes on and on really.

I'll take the easy thing over the wrong thing, though. :)
