PGI, I am really wondering if you actually tested the economic impact to adjust the rewards down.

I just got out of a match and was the top scoring player all the 3 lances with a match score of 83. My actual performance numbers were well in line with normal performance prior to the patch. 1 kill, 5 assists, 400+ damage. Normally when this happens I aquire around 225-250k C-bills minimum. Now however I get awarded 170k. This is at least a 30% reduction in the amount of C-bills that I would normal earn.

The reason I asked if you tested this is because while a first glance add 33% more mech to a match means that there is potentially a 33% greater reward, logic and any sort of testing would have revealed that you also have 33% more mechs in the match competing for that reward.

The end result? Reducing rewards by 33% across the board, which it looks like you have apparently done, means you have effectively nerf the entire C-bill economy by 33% a well.

Obviously this has been about as well thought out as the DHS patch where you guys patched in a bug thinking it was working correctly while it took the community all of 5 mins to figure it was bugged in gameplay.

3 Kills, 4 Assists 380 damage + Victory = 136k C-bills. Seriously??

I second the OP.

While there are more opponent to shoots at, there are also more friendlies competing for those rewards. So the net amount of damage someone is able to do will not increase on average.

Thus the nerf to income in 12 vs. 12 is totally unjustified, it is just a flat nerf to income when none warrented.

I also join the protest to this stupid cbill nerf. Not to mention 12v12 effectively halved my fps even on 1280x720, went from 45 to 23 on lowest settings. Total disappointment, unplayable and now we get puny scraps as well, bullsh1t.

At a quick glance I'm making as much money as I used to before the rewards were lowered.

In the last few 12v12 games I generally had 7-8 kills + assists. In the 8v8 I got around 4-5.

4 kills, 6 assists, 656 damage, Victory, and 500 some odd resources in a Conquest map.

Just a hair over 170k with a founders mech.

I too am experiencing a drastic lowering of my cbill income. 5 Kills with my Ilya and I got 183k. Would have been 280k-300k~ before. What is the deal?

"Hmm, looks like our playerbase is low and we aren't generating enough revenue. Clearly people will pay us more money in premium time if we skimp on their c-bill gain!"

Genius' all around up in Canada, I tell you.

Yeah I got to admit that is what it feels like. My premium sub rewards are now what I was making without premium before. Being without premium was painful back then so can't imagine how painful it is now.

EDIT: Russ apparently said that the rewards were reduced because a person could make ridiculous amounts by "Tagging" every enemy mech with a few shot and getting massive assist rewards. So basically instead of just adjusted how much we earn from an assist, they nerf how much we earn from everything. Serious intelligence at work there.

I think once my premium time is up I will obstain from playing until cbill rewards are brought back in-line. I don't like paying for "Premium" time only to have the value of what I purchased pulled out from under me.

be sure and give the developers feedback in the patch feedback section
all these changes arent permanent and we are beta testing so im sure rewards will get changed at least 1 more time before launch...

I am not too concerned about a 33% right now(I still don't like it), but once we start getting 2 mechs a month this is going to crush my ability to keep up with mech releases. This does not make me happy, please put it back

This disrupts my sinister plot to give money to PGI in exchange for mechbays for a trio of Victors that I'll be buying when I save enough c-bills. I guess they don't want me boating mechbays, either.

Something that i haven't seen mentioned here but is worth mentioning is the longer match times. Matches used to take 7-8 minutes tops, that's with a jenner hiding somewhere powered down. Now matches are taking 10-11 minutes, I've had a couple run out of time since the 12 v 12 implementation.

So we are not only earning few c-bills but we are making deposits at a much slower rate.

Without knowing your other bonuses (saviour kills, component destruction, spotting, salvage) or the game mode (I will assume assault) this performance will earn you the following:

pre patch: 85,000 (127,500 premium)

post patch: 76,700 (115,050 premium)

You made about 9.8% less money than you would have before the patch.

If you provide a screenshot a more detailed analysis can be done.
