Client Freeze

I switched to using 'Fullscreen' mode from using 'Fullscreen Windowed' and it made no difference. So the next step I took was using the repair tool JUST IN CASE something was wrong with my game that could be fixed.
After the repair tool ran and cleaned up everything nice and tidy, I've no longer had my client freeze in a game. Now MWO sits at a black screen after a game is complete doing nothing but taking up system resources and making it impossible to switch to any program (except Windows Task Manager for some reason) using the alt+tab function.
After every game I have to shut down MWO through the Task Manager so that I might start it up again to play another game. To say the least, this is rather obnoxious.

Try MWO Repairtool to check and fix for corrupted files.

Additionally, with further testing, I discovered that running Google Chrome (with no extensions I might add) for some reason was screwing with my game. After closing it, I played 10 games in a row with no freezing and no crashing with no other changes made.

The repair tool doesn't fix this in most cases. It's a cryengine/graphics driver problem, most common on nVidia hardware.
It's one of the reasons I have stopped playing MWO. When stability improves drastically I might be back.

- Was any error message provided with the crash, if so, which?
- Where in the game or menus did the crash occur?
- What steps had been taken prior to the crash occurring?
- Does the crash re-occur for you if repeating those same steps?
- What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
- What are your System specs? (You can include them in a [ spoiler] [ /spoiler]

Also, this is interesting - after getting back into the Mechbay, my home screen changed to the Misery one, with trial by fire from May - June advertising. Deleting shader cache, repair tool etc has found no issues.
Randomly now since the last crash I will get the correct Golden Boy advertising, but otherwise it goes back to the Misery one from a few months ago.
I also was getting the game lock up when chrome was open too. I had to swap my Twitch chat into a IE window and close chrome when I play now, or after a few hours of play the game will lock up and have to be forcibly closed.
The banner ads thing was the weirdest bit though.
