LRMs are broken. But that was the point right? Nerf the weapon that every mech in the board game carried enough that no one carries it. Then people will stop whining

Easy there storm trooper, just making a light jest. Honestly though, what do you think the underlining agenda of this thread is? Pretty obvious.
OTHER THAN A CRAP QQ? Nothing! However, lrm/ppc sniper assaults are not only viable but very useful in 12 man.
Call me a coward all you want! Then when the game is close and im only using my 2 erppc to kill your ***. Not so much. If that happens talk about great damage and xp!

They weren't so useful in 8v8 because of any team with more than 1 ECM almost makes you wish you had a spotter with TAG. They are super useful in 12v12 because not all 12 people are under the ECM umbrella. But if you get teams with more than 2 ECM then you are sitting waiting for targets again. They are super useful, just the OP didn't get on any good teams with spotters or too much ECM on the other team. It happens.
I can definently see that.
I tend to use my LRMs a bit different anyway. I more tend to use them a bit later in the match when the teams get a bit more spread out anyway. If I see my team mate and an enemy mech tangling, I start raining the LRM death then. Rarely ever do I start out the match trying to hit targets with LRMs. They are either using cover early, or under a tighter ECM blanket.

MWO LRMs try to be what TT describes them to be, hitting mechs behind hills from 1000 meters off. That's why they are only marginally good for this purpose. If they were also good with Artemis and Line-of-Sight they would become OP. An all-purpose weapon.
I would prefer LRMs that work best with Line-of-Sight because then they would benefit the user more at the expense of less value to Light mechs who may or may not be interested in assisting LRMs. LRMs could still work this way, they should just be weighted to be of most value to the pilot who is carrying them, which would be to make them a solid weapon with line-of-sight and Artemis, etc. LRMs are the hardest weapon to use in MWO, so they have earned the ability to do solid damage.
