I wonder if the application includes a background forum check for any... discrepancies...

You know would be really nice? if it was in Vancouver, where PGI is based, but no, of course we can't do that, we have to have it down in the States somewhere. Way to represent your hometown PGI.

Um well I do believe Battletech and mechwarrior were an original USA product :) Further more I believe Nvidia to be sponsering the event. Which is in california soooooo........... Be mad! AHAHahahaahaha! just playin. but yeah thought i would bring those few fact/points up

Or League of Legends.

All of the above- they have their issues but lack the sheer, focused vitriol you find here. See this forum breeds a special kind of loathing- it's a little tart and bitter, with a hint of lemon.

Oh God, California.... That's almost as bad as Bloomberg City.

I apologize, I don't know what the hell is wrong with me today. I'm just curious to know why this event is in California, and not on a weekend? Oh well, Good luck.

Is California's bay area not the birthplace of the electronics industry known as the "Silicon Valley", home to the greatest of electronic, tech, manufacturing and, programming giants? I think deservedly so.

And here I thought you were just making it up as you went.
Hmm guess I was wrong - then again judging from the decisions you have made so far I really cant be blammed for thinking as I did.

Welp - the more you know.

Good for them, I guess. It really doesn't matter what the hell came out of "Silicon Valley". When a sports team wins a game they don't rush off to the origin of that game to celebrate. Why isn't this event being held at their base of operations, or in their hometown?

Ah, forget it. I was just thinking aloud.

Doesn't hurt that one of the sponsors of both live events, Nvidia, is HQ'd here in Santa Clara.

You mean how the S.F. Giants swept the world series a year ago or that the Oakland A's are currently in second?

I have another question regarding the event: Is there any weight given to people that were at the first event at Nvidia's HQ a while back? And this could be either way, for example:

Would PGI prefer to NOT have players that went to the Nvidia event, or would they prefer to have them, or is there no preference at all?

Just curious. I don't think there would be any weight against people that went to the Nvidia event, but I wanted to ask just in case.

Maybe they could take high post counts and participation in the community into positive consideration?

Personally, I think they should bring those that have been doing the most to support and promote their game.
