Well, the idea behind the thread was to ask people what they thought would be a standard build. That's what I put "standard" in the name of the thread, though I guess you missed it.
With that said, I'm happy that some people decided to share some unconventional builds all the same, but I assume you realize there's a happy middle ground between uber-cheese ppc+gauss and ******* insane NARC+Flamer combo. I'm not saying you have to imitate the former, I'm saying that you're veering sharply towards the latter.
I don't mind unconventional builds, and indeed I have already complimented people for such in this thread.

I stopped using Streaks some time around early January 2013. They're a ridiculous weapon. I'm not saying that everyone needs to use them, but again, the purpose of the thread was to see if people had an idea for what would be a standard, cookie-cutter shadowhawk, in the same sense that the AC40 Jager was the standard Jager for a long while, or the 2xSSRM Raven 3L was the standard Raven.

Yeah streaks suck. I reread the thread I wrote and it sounded condescending which wasn't my intent. I think you need an ax'10 SRM's and a pulse laser of some sort should be the norm.

I think what this tread is telling you is that there really won't be a "standard" build for the Shadowhawk 2H. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on how you look at things, the Shadowhawk doesn't have just one RIGHT way to build it like some mechs do. Builds are not going to be straightforward and when you fight a Shadowhawk your probably never going to face two exactly alike or even know what your going to face.

I came up with a new build meant as long range fire support... The Dakka SHD-2H. The PPC is for shooting things above, below, and off to the side or when you run dry on AC2 ammo... With the high torso gun placement This should work well as a hill cresting design and your JJs should help you get into spots that optimize this.
Originally I had planned on dual AC5s or UAC5s, but the UAC5s just don't fit (not enough space with an XL and not enough tonnage with a standard). Dual AC5s do fit as seen in the Dual AC5 SHD-2H, but the speed is less and the range isn't quite as good so it will need to rely more on the PPC...
I guess you could call them Mini-Jagers, not as fun as my other build to play with... But interesting none the less...

I cant see it ever being accepted as optimal as it only has 1 energy point.

As for the OPs request for standard - I don't think there will be such a thing as it will be a niche mech like many others.
