I just recently added my only Atlas to my stable and got it all its basics and a modest loadout.

How the bloody Hell does an Atlas walk in Terra Therma?

Didn't matter if it was the metal ledges in Mordor, the smooth trails getting there, or the lava streams, I kept getting totally,non-moving stuck on NOTHING!

I eventually dished 329 damage, the highest on my brain dead pug team until I got planted on a trail, could not move in any direction, yet 3 other mechs circling me had no such issues.

And I died on queue.

My Misery never had issues this extreme, is this common for an Atlas, or am I bugged?

***EDIT: I apologize if this is the wrong place for this, move it as you see fit! :(

Stalker has less movement penalties than an Atlas. Therefore you can go over bumps in a stalker that you can't in an atlas.

I think there are current areas in that map that if you "fall" into them you are basically legged or stuck.

The atlas can have that problem sometimes(I've had it on river city too) when it does you pretty much need to find a spot to chill and hope to ambush some poor *******.

Sounds like you had the flat-feet bug.

There is one spawn on TT that spawns you inside a container. This causes the collision form to reset to the default flat-bottomed cylinder. This makes movement hell.

How is it that so many people know so little about the movement bug in Tera Therma? Have you guys not played the map? if you haven't, then why are you commenting in this thread? If you have and you don't know about the bug, then you've only played it a few times and don't have enough experience with Tera Therma to comment. Don't comment if you don't know.

The issue the OP is describing is the movement bug on this map. It happens when you spawn directly behind the crates that are directly behind the cap on the lower spawn point. This is a repeatable bug and so far, every mech that spawns there experiences it. There may be other spawn bugs that are intermittent, as others have had the bug when spawning in other places. In any case, PGI has officially admitted that it is a bug and will be moving the spawn points on the lower spawn in the next patch (hopefully) so mechs will no longer spawn partially inside the crates.

To sum up: it's not your Atlas, it's all mechs and it's a known bug that will be fixed soon.

My friends Spider had to use jump jets there to get over imaginary obstacles...weird.

There are some bugged spawns in Terra Therma that will mess you up an entire match if you can move at all. Generally whenever you spawn on those crates...

I've got stuck on the bridges before it's stupid that I have a 13 meter tall mech that can't lift it's foot high enough to step onto a smooth metal structure.

Man I play Atlas every day since i started, and i always play in each map pre-planned routes, just because i know where i can safe move and where not. Atlas is about good piloting, a bad movement into the wrong direction and you are f*****.

You haven't read all the responses and you haven't played Tera Therma very often. Read just the last four posts above yours, then promptly delete your posts so as to not give erroneous info to other players

It has nothing to do with pilot skill it's the map that's bugged and there's nothing the players can do about it, I have no problem being slower going up an incline, I have a major one with a pebble or a six inch lip bringing my 100 ton death machine to a halt.

Well, the first thing I recommend is that you stop talking crap about your own team. PUG teams are a big, random toss up. Sometimes you get people that are willing to work together, other times you get a bunch of people that just want to do their own thing, and every now and again you get 12 people who want to lead and not one willing to take an order. Oh, and you've never got voice comms.
